It seems odd, that if Jehovah's Witnesses are to have absolutely no association with anything of pagan origin, why they would print on the cover of every Watchtower and Awake magazine, the names of the months of the year...These are Pagan.

The days of the week also have acquired their names from pagan origins.

I think science took the place of religion in explaining the inexplicable, and does it in a very convincing way that leaves no room for doubt; Religion on the other hand lacks credibility.
So my question is in what way is religion still relevant in today's society?

Why is it that when speaking of the other nationalities, we describe them as follows: Blacks (African AMERICANS), Mexicans (Latin AMERICANS), Asians (Asian AMERICANS), Indians (Native AMERICANS), Arabs (Arab AMERICANS), Whites (Caucasian) huh? Please, why are whites just caucasian? Im sorry, but I earned my right as an American, I gave 6 years of my life in defending this country in the Military. Well, I guess we are called "Wetto", "Honkey", "White Boy", "Cracker", "Whitey", and any other name other than American. Somebody please help me out on this one. All Nationalities welcomed please.

okay so i'm totally not saying i'm an abuser but recently my dad got SO mad when my 1 year old Dachshund-terrier mix peed on the carpet so he shoved her face into the pee and slapped her head and lost his cool

then like during the few weeks afterwards she started peeing even more than she used to.. is it because he hit her?

This was actually my answer to a question of the same sort.....

I keep saying the prayer for sinners to receive the Lord as my Savior. And I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for me, but I think I'm doing something wrong because it doesn't seem to stick.

No, no, no, no I don't expect this huge bright light, explosion or anything like that. I pray a lot and a few of the times I get results. But a long, long time ago my parents told me that "God hates you too" and I can't seem to shake that. I just don't feel like I fit into the same world as Jesus Christ.

It's like I say the prayer, have a ton of hope, but then nothing changes. But I am not exactly sure what is suppose to happen/change either.

Hey, now wait a sec.....before you go, "He's an a$shole!" or "He's drunk!" let me explain myself...will you? ; )

Alright. For one thing, think about how some females act around one or a few people at a time. Observe how they socialize around just one person, especially if that person is someone they don't know very well. Most (not all) females will not say much of anything in situations like that. That is because the majority of women are what you call "antisocial." Not that it's a bad thing, but im just making a point. Also, the way a gril dresses can be the opposite of their persona.

Now, observe how a women (or that particular women who im hypothetically speaking about, which could be anyone you know) acts around a crowd of people....does anyone see a drastic change in the "oooh, look at me," department?

This is more common in young women than girls over 25. That is because women reach their sexual peak in their late 20s/ early 30s, and they become grounded.

I am now married for 2yrs. We are planning to have a baby soon. But during the first year of our marriage, my inlaws moved to our house as they are needing place to stay for a while. shared rents and bills for the couple of months then stopped as their second baby arrives and ask that my husband pays for it for the meantime. but now for a year, they dont give us any amount of money and so comfortable living with us now. Then my father inlaw moved to us and asks money to my husband for his daily expences. Days are getting worst, they dont help in cleaning my house, they dont pay bills and dont even share foods on the budget. Theyre acting like a complete guest in our house. I told my husband about it and said i can talk to them about my concerns and it leads to a huge fight, saying things against me(including my father inlaw).My husband got upset bout what they did, they apologized to me. But im not comfy wid them anymore, i dnt talk to them. How can i tell them to vacate my house?
