The Emo Movement has been around for a long time. The chance of it fading in obscurity is slight. This culture has changed through the years and morphed several times but, its basic roots are still the same. Since the appeal of the music genre is so charged with passion it is now become embedded in the rock culture and is never likely to fade away or burn out. That would be like rock fading away totally. Change is inevitable in this growing culture but, its charisma, strength, and inspiring lyrics, music and culture will live on generation after generation. Since sensitivity to others, is something our society so desperately lacks this culture has no compunction embracing it. Once we, as a society, embraced this to, but in recent years it has become unfashionable to do so. There is a lesson here I think. Although viewed as misdirected, the fact still remains that sensitivity is never out of fashion or undesired. As hard as may be to accept, it's here to stay. The more it is resisted the more desirable it becomes. The lessons to learn here are more understanding, more sensitivity, and more love. In all that has been written about Emo culture these are the things that ring out loud and clear. Resistance should be converted to support, attention and understanding . This will help shape the future of this culture and redirect it path to the positive.

As long as the scene trends last, when something "Cooler" and "Hotter" comes to the mind of Teenage girls and boys, seriously though, not meaning to offend you, but why do you even care? it's not your place to really care what people decide to be, if they want to be Emo they can be Emo, it's there choice, but to give you a prediction of how long this current "Trend" will probably last, I say around 2010 it will be about done, thats just my prediction, it's starting to be less common, than it was, of course I'm not sure... it could last longer considering the amount of "Scene" kids are on Myspace.

Uh Respectfully sire (basing on the pic)..uhh i dont think its "madness"..but maybe your talking about those some "show-off's" who do "wristcutting". Those are different. Not all emo's are like that.,Emo is love or being inspired by amotional songs, and the style and fshion of it. But Maybe "emo" would end if there's no "songs".. But the trend??uhh---just like in Rap songs..though the trend of "Rapper" or "gangster" is way too old..they still have it. And "emo" is just new or just came up.

I think it will stick around under new names like disco is now called dance, hip hop and techno. As far as I'm concerned, country music, the blues and are lyrically emo songs without the mop head hairstyle (except John Denver) and tatoos.

I Wouldn't Call it madness. Its A trend .It Is just how some people express themselves. But I Also Think That It will never really go away becasue sooo many teenagers and kids are going through more and more hard things.Like divorce and deaths and suicides. It is just a way for teens to get all of they're suffering out. But,I think That it is fading .But as i said I think that it will be aroung for a looong time.

Every emo band is some privileged group of kids from southern california or similar suburb; basically, they're a bunch of losers appealing to the least intellectually stimulated sector of the population (enter high school). Wordy? Maybe, but honestly, this has to stop somewhere.
