If you're not already aware I'm one of the more firmly entrenched atheists on Y!A R&S. I'm educated to a high level, I have a scientific and historical background, and I've read very widely in both evolution and anti-evolution literature.

However, I figure that even if I don't believe in the power of prayer, which of course I don't, there must be enough of you out there who do that if you can all get together and pray for my salvation, then it should have a little impact. Consider it a sort of experiment, if you like. If I even feel the slightest difference in my views tomorrow as a result of your combined efforts, you have my word that I will report it here. If I become "saved" at any point in the next YEAR, I will give everything I own to the church and dedicate my life to Jesus.

Does this sound reasonable?

whenever I visit my husbands family they often ask why don't I cut my sons hair. I ask them why should I? The response always is because he's a boy. As if I'm unaware of that fact. It's irrelevant to me. I'm just wondering is it because they're in a small town it's such a far reaching concept for a guy to have long hair (he's only 4 years old. when he's older and cares to cut it/have a mohawk or whatever design that's fine w/ me)? I've seen university aged students in the main city of alex and cairo w/ longer hair like the soccer players, so is it THAT weird for egypt?

A ? From the adult perspective: if a grown guy has gorgeous hair (i.e., nice, wavy well taken care of rocker/drummer style) and it's long and worn in a low pony tail/stylishly do you think he should cut it? If he has a handsome face + nice hair that's long, is he considered hot as he would be out west? Or does having long hair just make him socially unacceptable in some way?

I have a few questions:
1. I am baking a quiche for my family on Thanksgiving and I was just wondering if the TexMex type of cheese would be good with Quiche Lorraine.

2. I put ground beef, bacon, eggs, and the tex mex cheese, do you think it'd taste good?

In a class action lawsuit against Bank of America, the class counsel and Bank of America negotiated an agreement calling for Bank of America to provide various non-monetary offers (but no money) to the class members and to pay several million dollars to the class counsel. Subsequently, several class members filed objections with the court. The class counsel then filed papers saying that the large fee was justified because of the additional work required to negotiate a non-monetary settlement, in excess of what would have been needed to negotiate a monetary settlement. I feel that a monetary settlement would have been in the best interest of the class counsel's client (the class members). Is negotiating for something else and thereby getting more fees an ethics violation?

My landlord claims to have started the eviction process. We got into an argument cause she keeps opening my mail. She threratened to evict me. So She served me a 3 day notice charging me for 6 months of back rent ( im current with my rent ) and i month future rent. Then she 1 week later her friend serves me with a notice from the court house saying i need to pay 25 dollars a day starting the same day. The court papers were clearly fake, they had clear stickers on them in the spots where case numbers were. My Questions are:
Can she get a judgment like that without a hearing? and is that a crime for forging court documents? advice please

I am actually a Nurse major, not by choice but by force. My parents think I should be a nurse because they said nurses get paid a lot of money. I actually have a passion for music and is thinking about pursuing something in that field, but the thing is, I feel i need to get the approval of my parents. So is there any career in that field that gets paid a lot? maybe about $30 -40 an hour? So maybe I can tell them that Music isn't a low paying job. music teacher? starting my own record label? I've just renovated my bathroom and the final thing was to install our new toilet - it doesn't fit!!! We went back to the store and they said all toilets are a standard size - the problem is there is only 10 inches between where the bolts go and the wall and we need 12 for any of the toilets that are now made. Any ideas???????
