I am actually a Nurse major, not by choice but by force. My parents think I should be a nurse because they said nurses get paid a lot of money. I actually have a passion for music and is thinking about pursuing something in that field, but the thing is, I feel i need to get the approval of my parents. So is there any career in that field that gets paid a lot? maybe about $30 -40 an hour? So maybe I can tell them that Music isn't a low paying job. music teacher? starting my own record label? I don't know, any suggestions?

If you become a music teacher, you'll make about the same pay as a nurse but you'll have to be able to work with children. If you become a nurse you'll need to be able to shut down your emotions (so you don't get upset when people die) and get used to seeing lots of blood.
