Ok, lets say there is god, but why then we don't get those magical signs and why life is so hursh?

Good question. There is no God. No matter what, you're never going to get a (pro-religious) straight forward answer to that question.

God(s) was/were just some mythical character ancient people made up to keep their people behaved and to explain what science couldn't.

The signs and wonders can occur any time at God's whim. Although I'm studying to be a minister, nobody has all the answers. I feel it's safe to say, however, that life gives us trials and difficulties to toughen us up for the duties of eternity. Separate the chaff from the wheat, as Jesus said. Rather than give a big sermon, however, life is pretty direct: do good with a heart towards God, you win. Drag your feet and do wrong, hell. This isn't some gradeschool malarkey, it's a basic, simple fact of life. One life. Don't blow it. Truth.

first of all to all thoes people saying crewel things about god . That is so not called for and that Angers me when people do that. But to you with the question life NEVER LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO SAY MEAN THINGS ABOUT GOD (they are acting like the devil them self)and Life is so harsh because of the devil. NOT GOD. God wants our life to be worth living but the devil does not. There is a god and he is up in heaven he is NOT A FAKE like the gods made of statue like buddah and the other ones. But also the bible says that we are as gods. which means we can lift things with our minds and travel back in time and so on . But in order to do that you have to have faith and you caint just have 10% faith you have to have 100%faith. And yes not every one gets magical signs. but that does not mean that he is not real.If you want magical signs then be closer to god and more spiritual and read your bible.God is as real as we are. Do you know when everybody will see the big magical sign. When jesus comes back to earth. Wich would be the day that the world will end.And we are in the last days and the bible says in the last days it would get worse, there will be wars, sunamis, earthquakes, gay marrage, and a bunch of bad stuff. Now ask your self. Is all that stuff happing right now? YES> And when the world ends all the bad people go to hell. And the good people go with God. And God will have a new land for the people and good angels and there will be no sickness, no diseases, no evil, ect. But there will be good in that new world. So i advise you to read your bible. Because all the questions that you have all the answers are there. So dont let the devil brain wash you. Let god into your life.

Im not sure what you mean by Magical Signs but I believe personally life is harsh when God is trying to teach you a lesson or maybe if your not being grateful for your life and I think sometimes you have to go through tough times but eventually things will work out. A friend of mine very close to God once told me that I was not being grateful with my life. I would always say its going great but never thank god for what I had...He said that I shouldnt do that, and weeks later, things changed for me when my mom had a tumor in her spine and risked her life

I apologized to God and prayed every night after that and she ended up perfectly fine...which was amazing

We don't believe in "magic" any more... Or in signs. So we look for "explanations" instead.

Why life is so harsh?
Ummm... Excuse me? Where in your contract with God is there a clause, that your life will be easy? Life is not paradise... That comes latter IF you pass the tests that God has set for you in life. In fact the easier your life is the harder it is to love others "below your station" as Jesus taught.

Why should there be "magical signs"?
As far as evidence as there being ONE God... there is tremendous evidence to that fact. Look around you. There is evidence of The One God just in our bodies. The human body, in itself, is miraculous. Look at the animals, plants, life on earth, the sky. There is tremendous evidence ALL around you, but you need an open heart and an open mind... and genuine sincerity to see the evidence around you.
If you are sincere, and continue to search for the truth you will, en sha Allah, (if Allah wills) find it. My mother was a Christian. I embraced Islam when I was a young adult, but only after many years of searching for The Truth which is independent of human thought.
If you are sincere, which you seem to be, than I advise you to continue looking. Look at different religions...in depth. Ask questions... and be ready to accept answers that your ego might not like. Truth is independent of human thought, and does not need our approval to exist!

Why is life harsh? You can find the answer to that question in The Qur'an. This life is a life of tests. There is life after death. First in the grave; than The Day of Judgment; then after The Day of Judgment ( in either "Paradise" or "Hellfire").

Few people are lucky enough in their life to recognize magical signs, but God's hand is apparent in all we do. Life is harsh, and this causes people to turn to God. In good times, few people are faithful to God and turn to him. In bad times, almost everyone turns to God. There are magical signs, the birth of a baby, a beautiful day, finding a soul mate, cures from illnesses, but many of these miracles are not recognized by most of us. People must have faith for God to work in their lives. Man has free will and God will not intervene unless asked.

First of all there is God and the reason you don't get answers is because you are not saved. Life is so harsh for the same reason. You need to turn your life over to Jesus and He will answer prayer, He promises the joy and peace that comes from knowing Him. It's real, but unless you know Him you will never experience this peace and love. He is real and believers have a hard time understanding why the rest of the world can't see this as clearly. The Bible speaks of those signs and says that "Even seeing, they would not believe" - and since He created us, He must know how the human race would probably react.
In fact, there are signs all around us of the existence of God if we only look out for them and use our logic.

People seem to think god is Challenging us ( not going to mention any names....)

But that would be like a teacher showing you your desk on the first day of school, giving you 300 pages of work, with no knowledge, and leaving you, never to be seen again..

If God existed, there WOULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING that happened that there is proof of.
