I have a big dilemna here.
My brother lives in OH and i live in CA. He is going through a terrible divorce. He called me yesterday completely distraut and i am serisouly worried about him.
I have tried to call him all day and he doesn't answer his home phone and his cell phone is set on a "no accepted call" setting.
I don't know who to call as he is all by himself. I have no way to get a hold of him or check on him.
Should i call the police and at what point would they care? I talked to him 32 hours ago....will they take it seriously??
This is a serious matter......please anyone give me advice.....

Some feel that the longer a person stays in prison, the more it costs the state=our tax dollars. My question is: If prison sentences were to be cut a little shorter (meaning fewer inmates in prison and decreasing the need for more money) BUT CASTRATION was part of the punishment, would the crime rate drop? The fact that castration is part of the punishment would need to be known by the public. On crimes like auto theft/grand theft, would the crime rate drop if part of the punishment included the amputation of some fingers? I realize this sounds a little barbaric but would (especially castration) work? I think this procedure may have been used a long time ago... What are your religious & non-religious, feelings on this?

Religion a load of crap. First, there's no real, obvious, easy to find evidence of any religions validity. Second, Religion's full of a bunch of ignorant people who don't even know what they believe in - And trust me, all religions have these guys.
Why would a true God have his religion filled with a bunch of idiots? I think he wouldn't.

My husband & I have been separated for 11 1/2 months. It has been a messy separation (I left due to emotional abuse), but now he is really making an effort to be friends. I'm not sure what his motives are other than we are both so very tired of fighting. He is trying for 50% custody of our children (4 year old boy & 3 1/2 month old baby girl - I was pregnant when I left). Recently, he came to me & asked me if I really want to go through with the divorce. He says he realizes he was not a great husband & he wonders if we'd make it if we tried again. I'm really confused, because my love for him has never been an issue. He says he loves me too & he's sorry for the way he treated me. There have been other women during our separation. I went through the pregnancy alone. My sister-in-law & I have always gotten along really well. She talks to him on a regular basis & may be able to shed some light on his motives & sincerity. Is it a wise move to ask her her opinion?

I was just reading through the website "the religion of peace" when I found the claim that there has been 9642 terror attacks since 911. Ever since I was a little kid, Ive heard about Islamic terror, but this post 911 number seemed high. However, the website went on to document them all.

So how do you rationalize this as just an insignificant minority, no different than any other religious extremist. If it was true that other religions also had these type of "extremists", there wouldnt be a safe spot on earth. Our lives would be a constant buzz of terror bombs.

Well this is part of a much larger problem involving all sorts of polynomials anyway i am stuck on this one particular part which involves a cubic where you know 2 points and half the stationary point of inflection the points given are as follows:

[45,0] , [32,-20] and the stationary point of inflection occurs at [?, -7]

Basically ur supposed to find the equation for the cubic. is it possible to do this or have i overlooked something? The cubic is part of a much larger diagram involving all sorts of parabolas, semi-circles and ellipses which we need to find the formula for in order to create a computer generated diagram. if need be i can upload a picture of the diagram for u guys to look at if u think i might have missed something.

There is a movie I remember watching in World Geography when I was in High School that I have been looking to find. The documentary has no words but yet a single phrase being said over and over with some music. If I am not mistaken the word went something like this "Kunawitskatzi" I know I must have spelled this title wrong thats why I can't find it online. If anyone can give me a link to how to spell this word, or have a link to it on imdb.com I would greatly appreciate it

i B.F. my little girl for 19 months, and my sister didn't and every one who asks alwways has a comment about what we did, or didn't do.
i was told that i B.F. for too long, and should have stopped after 6 months, and my sis was told that she didn't try hard enough with her bubba.
i've also noticed that a few of my friends are so worried about what others are thinking of them and how they feed their babies. do any other mothers feel this?
i know that there are two Q's in this but if you could answer hem it would be helpful.

I had my baby on august 21st . I submitted my paperwork to my employer to add her as a dependent to my benefits within the 30 days well something happened apparently on their end and they didn't get it in in time so I apparently have to wait til open enrollment to cover her. Needless to say I am extremely upset over this so a few questions, when is open enrollment generally and I have to take my daughter in 2 weeks for her shots, how much do they run and how much are dr visits since I will be paying out of pocket for these visits?..thanks for your comments. I am still fighting for them to add her since this was not my fault. Can they still add her?

I am a south asian raised in america who has been married for 2 years. I had good schooling and have good job (as does husband). For the first year of my marriage, my husband and I lived abroad. Now I am back in the U.S. and living with his family. This is common in my culture, but not in America. His mother is a little older and while mobile, needs help around the house, which I provide. But my husband thinks i don't do enough. (I clean the house, cook a twice a week, do dishes, and try to keep house clean. I also do all my hubby/my laundry and ironing, and deal with all our bills.) I work 40 hours a week, and commute 2 hrs/day. My husband works about 70 to 80/ week and rarely helps me. His father, and siblings never help.

I am sick of doing everything and listening to him say i need to do more. I have told him I want my own house. He says he won't leave his parents. I love him. I know he loves me--in all other ways he treats me well--never yells, is caring, loving, etc.what do i do?

The Gospel of John tells us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin. Is that important? You’d better believe it! Is that significant? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do w/ the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it. The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished.

Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table. For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, “I’m done”. But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it aside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because the servant knew that the folded napkin meant, “I’m not finished yet.” The folded napkin meant, “I’m coming back!”
