I have a big dilemna here.
My brother lives in OH and i live in CA. He is going through a terrible divorce. He called me yesterday completely distraut and i am serisouly worried about him.
I have tried to call him all day and he doesn't answer his home phone and his cell phone is set on a "no accepted call" setting.
I don't know who to call as he is all by himself. I have no way to get a hold of him or check on him.
Should i call the police and at what point would they care? I talked to him 32 hours ago....will they take it seriously??
This is a serious matter......please anyone give me advice.....

I think someone has to be missing 48-72 hours before they are considered a missing person. So call the local police in his area and say you haven't heard from him in 72 hours.

Honestly if you are this worried about it you should just call the police. What harm would it do? Better to try it than to not try it just to avoid being shut down.

Good luck and I hope everything is ok!
