Every time the plasma is super charged to a high temperature (so it will be fatal to who ever is shot) the metal in the gun seems to over heat. I am using a ferrous based metal could that be the problem?

I found that a nitrogen cooling system works fine even with cobalt material. It just has to be refilled occasionally.

durring my time fighting the Covenant and destroying the halo we came into contact with many plasma weapons which we were able to recover and preformed exaustive tests to find out how they worked.... as far as we could tell the had some sort of magnetic confinement bottle extended all the way to the target .. this stopped the heat destroying everything around it including the wepon itself.... however even the aliens couldnt totally over come the problem and their wepons shut down after a few seconds of continuous fire. Usually in this time though you can destroy everything in sight therefore you shouldnt need to fire anymore ...hope this helps

The key, for you, would be to start by asking your Dr to change your medication. It seems to have affected your ability to grasp reality. The second thing should be to apply your knowledge to do something constructive. If you do these two things, you will be well on your way towards being a contributing individual. Good luck!

No real offense meant but "I'm having trouble" wondering why anyone would spend this kind of time and points?"

Mad magazine; long ago ran a series of irreverent bumper stickers. One that comes to mind might equate to people carrying signs; standing on street corners.

The Sticker read like this. "Build your own Nuclear device. Be the FIRST on your block to be the LAST on your block."

Yes. You need to use a ceramic or tungsten. Tungsten is cheap and it keeps its shape under high temperature.
