religious veiws state that the purpose of life is to eventually make it to heaven/god. well then why is is that our bodies are designed in a way to live as long as possible? for instance we have an immune system, we scab to stop ourselves from bleeding. our hairs stand up on end when we are cold to get heat ETC. we are DESGINED to survive. why would god design us to survive when at the end of the day he wants us in heaven? you must die to go to heaven but its against our own instincts to die though. we are wired to survive at any cost. it is unhuman to let death take over, we all fight for our last breath. why is this? maybe subconscioully we dont believe in heaven and truly know there is notjing after death so we fight to savour its last moments?
lol just a university student bored i liek to spark little debates and make people think its good for the brain.

I know it aired in the early 1980's. The premise of the program was that a new product would be introduced and demonstrated by "Stan" who was portrayed as a clumsy buffoon. He would demonstrate the product and fumble through it's basic function, usually destroying the product by the end of the demonstration simply by being clumsy and not using the product correctly.
Stan was the hands on guy that got the laughs, but he was accompanied by a host who stood by his side and acted as "the straight man" and conducted the introduction etc. I remember him watching Stan and nearly losing it while trying not to laugh.
Any information would be useful, name of the host, his sidekick, web links, bios, etc.

First off, let me say that I am aware the real victims of this tragedy were those who were killed or wounded. Still, a part of me always thought that these two acts got a raw deal for being the preferred music of the “Trenchcoat Mafia.” Instead of looking at the parents, the guns shops or school security, it’s always easier to blame the satanic rock stars. Perhaps it’s coincidence but Manson hasn’t done much of anything since 1999 other than alienate his entire band. Also, KMFDM made a series of idiotic decisions around the same time, like changing their name to MDFMK and going to a major label that didn’t know how to market them. They did come out with Tohuvabohu about a month ago, but I have yet to see anyone mention it in here. Unlike Manson, this album should be getting a lot more attention.

My friend and I are both 17 years of age, she lives with me at my dads house. We get on farely well, dont argue hardly ever and when we do either one walks away. We dont always spend so much time together as we enjoy to do stuff that are different and have different set of friends.
The other night I had a dream one of which had myself and my friend in it and in the back ground was many over people I know of. It mosty conisisted of me shouted at my friend, tell her she was a fuking wanker.. and so on. My friend also had with her a friend with curly hair who could this be? Because niether of us know of some one like this. My friends then stormed off, packed her cases to go back home!

Hello. Due to some scratches on my front and rear bumper, I've decided to do a paint job on my car. I've prepped it by sanding it and priming the areas, painting it with the base color, and clear coated it as well. However, it's not as shiny as the rest of the car; I thought the same shine would be achieved by the use of clear coat, but it seemed it didn't work. Does anybody know what I can do to get it as shiny as the rest of the car?

My husband's ex has his 13 year old twins all week and every other weekend leaving us with them only 4 days a month (and during some holidays). My husband misses them terribly and has lived with this situation for about 5 years. The kids also get weepy on the phone and when they have to leave us when they visit. We want to have them more often, maybe every weekend or a couple days during the week but we don't want to involve a lawyer because they cost so darn much. We live close enough to them (within 6-7 miles) that schools, friends, cheerleading and football wouldn't have to change. There would be a deduction in her child support which is why I don't think she's willing to go for it. The kids are all she has, no boyfriend or husband so she'll be really lonely without them, which I sympathize for. Since the kids want more time with us, we want to address it. Any great suggestions on how to talk to her about it within this turning into war?

i met this girl, her last relationship she was wit this guy for 9 years which he took her for granted and left her. i do not know too much details in this, she has been single for a while like probably 5 years. dated here and there but nothing serious. i like her, she seems very genuine and very nice, but when i go to hug her its like weird cuz she looks at me like if u can read her facial espression " what re u doing" so i back off but the next day she will call me to see me and all. she told me she scare to let loose cuz of the fear of being taken advantage she also told me she thinks too much and when she thinks it stops from doing things like for example she told me the other day she wanted to grab n kiss me but when she thought about it she stop herself, this is very confusing to me i like her and think theres potential but how can i handle this situation

My wife recently had a miscarriage a little over weeks ago. She only told a handful people about it: a few close friends, her older brother, and her parents. Because of what happened, her parents came to visit us this weekend. Once they were at our house, her brother more or less invited his family and their other sibling's family over to inform the entire family that they were pregnant with their second child. I felt that the timing was awful as they were only several days pregnant and that they should have waited until my wife had gotten over her miscarriage. I wanted to throw him out of my house at the very moment, but just sat there in disbelief of the lack of consideration for his sister's feelings. I am filled with rage now, but my wife told me not to say anything.
Am I justified in being angry, and, if so, how should I handle the situation? BTW, he also preempted our wedding by getting engaged after our engagement and slipping the wedding in before his sister's.

A young man wanted to purchase a gift for his new sweetheart's birthday and as they had not been dating very long, after careful consideration, he decided a pair of gloves would strike the right note: romantic but not too personal Accompanied by his sweetheart's younger sister, he went to Nordstrom's and bought a pair of white gloves. The sister purchased a pair of panties for herself. During the wrapping, the clerk mixed up the items and the sister got the gloves and the sweetheart got the panties. "I chose these because I noticed that you are not in the habit of wearing any when we go out in the evening. If it had not been for your sister, I would have chosen the long ones with the buttons but she wears short ones that are easier to remove. These are a delicate shade, but the lady I bought them from showed me the pair she had been wearing for the past three weeks and they are hardly soiled. I had her try yours on for me and she looked really smart. i think i may be pregnant but im not 100%. i havent done a test yet as i dont think i can handle what the answer may be! ive got a lot of the signs, including putting on weight, but that could be down to the fact that my job has changed from running around all day to sitting down at a desk, and im driving now so i walk less! but i also feel tired a lot and get irritated quickly!
if i was pregnant, i dont know if i could keep it. i dont know if im ready. thing is, my sister is so desperate for a baby and she cant have them due to polysistic ovaries, so i cant exactly get rid of it willy nilly! im going to do a test later this week as its closer to my period due date, but what do i do if its positive?! i dont think my boyfriend and i are financially stable just yet, but i dont think i could get rid of it :o(

I am pregnant but still waiting for results on how far I am because I am measuring 7 weeks further then im due to.I did page my doctor twice and am still awaiting her to call me back; but I have been feeling these sharp pains in my stomach and pressure in my area like something is going to fall through. it comes and goes every 15 minutes. Mom timed it this time, i usually dont. Anyways it feels worse when i stand up and walk it feels as if the pressure gets lower and more painful.
