Does anyone else think that Favre is NOT at the top of his game (Which I can prove, if you look at his statistics), and should be gone from GB for a better QB?
Sure, he made history there, but he's just a worthless old QB who will never be as good as some of the new ones will eventually be.

HAHAHA! The first guy that answered: I have never heard such a thing! GB won't make it to the SuperBowl for a long time after Favre is gone.

Foxtrot - I do have to point something out, -- He's not tearing defenses apart with that arm, he's giving them the ball with that arm.
And no, I'm not a Bears or Vikings fan.

I'm surprised you haven't figured this one out on your own.
The Brett Favre "King of all Creation and top great guy of the Universe" phenom is not about stats or even football for that matter.
This insanity is about REVENUE!!!!!
These networks are out there desperately looking for the next "hero" to cram down the gut of America. In fact, knowing they are wringing every ounce of mileage out of Favre this year in anticipation of his retirement, they are SHAMELESSLY calling Tony Romo "the next Brett Favre".
WHAT? yes.... that's right. Mentioned several times yesterday by the pre-game talking heads. This guy's only started 13 games!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable.... Favre's jock strap is older than this guy!!!!!!!!!!
So there you have it. If it isn't Brett Favre, it will be someone else. Oh by the way, they are getting all they can out of Peyton Manning too. Just not the hillbilly hero status of Favre just yet.
Oh and don't buy the humble country boy act either.... Favre knows exactly how to play this for all its worth!!!
Yeah, he's definitely a good QB..... But he ain't God. Sorry ESPN (Chris Berman). !!!

Favre really IS at the top of his game tihs year and it surprises the hell out of me. Who would have those the Packers would be 4-0 in the 4th week? NOT ME. I love the Packers, but have even picked against them twice so far in the Yahoo! Pick 'Em Leagues! This is wild. I'm enjoying if, but also nervous about the future, that this 4-0 status is only going to go downhill and we'll have the same ole disappointing end to a disappointing season. Only time will tell, I suppose. But no, I disagree about Favre. I don't know what got into that guy but he looks great. Superb. He really enjoys the game and it shows. He'll go down in history as one of the greatest NFL QBs who ever played the game. Brett Favre rocks. I believe that guys like Peyton, and Brady and Romo will be greats too, don't get me wrong. I'm a football fan all around, but I'm really happy to be a fan of the Packers - there's a lot of promise there, Favre or no Favre.
Oh, and Ruthinia - you're a rock star. I live in MN and I'm a born-Cheesehead, having grown up in WI, and I think your comment rocked. I'm getting really fed up with your fellow Vikes fans who don't bother to elevate their enthusiasm for their team - they'd rather bash Brett Favre to feel better. I like your style! You're a TRUE fan, someone who can be positive about a great player and not just bias to their team! :)

I smell a Bears fan who is bitter that the Packers are doing a whole lot better than them. He's also made that the Bears have had 20+ QB's since the Brett Favre era began and have recently had another QB change.

You're Kinda like an idiot. Whos cares if his stats are not what they use to be, he has freakin grey hair and they are winning what more do you expect. Green Bay is excited as they have been in a while to even win some Games let alone be undeafeated. Your asking this question like they haven't won a game. Green Bay Should keep Favre as long as he wants to stay. Even if they lose he is the face of their team. They have Aaron Rodgers Waiting in the wing when Brett Retires. If they got rid (cut or trade) of him Green Bay would lose half of their season ticket holders.

Favre makes the team what it is. It will be a sad day when Favre announces his retirement (more than likely after this year). at 37 years old, he is still one of the best QB ever!

He is getting older everyday. but his game or stats does not show that. he's winning with a 4-0 record. so why would you want to let a qb of favres resume go? winning is what it all comes down to.

I hope people will cut, paste, and save this question and shove it back in your face when Green Bay beats Dallas in the NFC Championship game and goes on to the Super Bowl this year!
(this guy can't even type a sentence without contradicting himself! Nobody said Green Bay would make it to the Super Bowl after Favre is gone. Which supports the idea that they're more likely to go WITH him as starting QB! So thanks for proving my point dumb shyt!)

I hate people like you that run their mouth. Farve is playing really good ball right now. How is he hurting the Packers? they are 4-0. We have no running game right now and Farve is tearing defenses apart with his arm.
