"THEY" recommend 4 pints or 2 litres of water a day. Doesn't matter what size of glass you use. So it's 8 if you use half pint glasses.

Your diet provides the water your body needs. In an average adult diet, food provides about 20 percent of total water intake. The remaining 80 percent comes from beverages you drink.
The equivalent of 8x 8oz glasses just under ½pint.

When they say 8 glasses, they mean 8 glasses of eight ounces, so a total of 64 is recommended for a regular day, more if you work out, etc.

It is recommended that you drink at least six to eight glasses a day. The benefits of this include healthier looking skin as
water flushes out the toxins and to remain hydrated.
