I know it aired in the early 1980's. The premise of the program was that a new product would be introduced and demonstrated by "Stan" who was portrayed as a clumsy buffoon. He would demonstrate the product and fumble through it's basic function, usually destroying the product by the end of the demonstration simply by being clumsy and not using the product correctly.

Stan was the hands on guy that got the laughs, but he was accompanied by a host who stood by his side and acted as "the straight man" and conducted the introduction etc. I remember him watching Stan and nearly losing it while trying not to laugh.

Any information would be useful, name of the host, his sidekick, web links, bios, etc.

Yes he was on the old Mike Douglas Talk Show many times
a very funny person with lots of mishapes.
