Yesterday afternoon, my aunt, who is disabled, got hit by a car. She was crossing under the light where she's supposed to, at the time she started to cross, she had the green light, however, she walks with a walker and was unable to make it all the way to the other side, a car, comes flying around the corner and hit her, she now has a crushed walker, and a broken shoulder along with other cuts and bruises. My question is, can she sue them for at least her medical expenses? I understand the car had the green light, but if you clearly see someone attempting to make it across the street you can't just hit them to get them out of the way! Any advice is appreciated.

Hi. I had boob job 2 weeks ago and I just wonder if I can drink some alcoholic drinks. I tried to search on internet but I could not find any site about it. Can you please tell me? I just remember that before surgery my doctor asked me if I drink or smoke and he told me that they are bad. Well I am not smoking but I love wine and I am going crazy without it now.

I mean he either meant it or he didn't period.

Example.

"It is easier for a camel to pass throuhg the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven"

Generally all those rich Christians (who by Jesus's own words should be giving up all that they own to follow him or giving away half of what they own like Zaccheus) argue that Jesus helped them to get rich and that they shouldn't give away what they own or at least half of it.

Yet when Jesus says "No one can come to the Father except through/by me" (John 14.6) they interpret this literally and stick to it like glue.

What gives Christians the right to determine what to follow and what not to follow and to interpret the literal words of the so called son of god?

How many have given up all that they own to follow Jesus or at least half?

I think you are hypocrites if you haven't and not true followers of Jesus.

Okay, my husband got busted with less than 1 gram of cocaine (a felony) back in 1999 when he was barely 18 years old and recieved Deferred Adjudication. He got off of his probation over 3 years ago and did not have to do any time. He was never convicted of anything and other than this, he has never gotten into any trouble with the law. He can get an Order of Non-Discloser in about another year and a half. I know that he can not own a gun but I want one for my home for self defense and to protect my family. I have no criminal record at all, not even a traffic ticket. Would I be albe to get a gun even though my husband has a little bit of a past? What is the processof getting a gun here in Texas? I am wanting either a 22 or a 25.

me and my brother grew up very close. all we had was each other. our dad was very strict, I went to drugs and alcohol, my brother stayed and kissed ***. later on we stayed close with our wives and kids, but a lot of crappy times happened along the way. there were a lot of fights, and flirting, and partying. now all of a sudden my brother and his kids want nothing to do with me. I know I've done a lot of dumb things in my drunken past, that I deeply regret, but I want to know from my brother what exactly, and why he won't talk to me anymore, he's the only brother I got, any suggestions??????????????

Here are some quotes, including ripping apart pregnant women:

Hosea 13:16 God promises to dash to pieces the infants of Samaria and the “their women with child shall be ripped up”. Once again this god kills the unborn, including their pregnant mothers.

1 Samuel 15:3 God commands the death of helpless "suckling" infants. This literally means that the children god killed were still nursing.

Psalms 137:9 Here god commands that infants should be “dashed upon the rocks”.

Leviticus 20:9 “For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.”

2 Kings 6:28-29 “And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.”

I know how to do it one at a time, but that's extremely tedious as the file has been accumulating documents, in both word and adobe formats, for about 7 years. I'm also not sure how to gain direct access to the temp file without actually downloading a document.

I keep hearing if you become vegitarian you save a 100 lives a year.

Where does that figure come from????

And wouldn't that depend on what kind of meat eater you were before you went veggie?

If you eat only beef and pork at most you are saving a couple a year. Cows and pigs give a lot of meat, even the most hardy beef eater would take about a year to eat one cow.

On the other hand if you primarily ate sea food it could be in the thousands. Can of sardines at lunch is a dozen right there, shrimp loves delight for dinner another 20 or so. I had a friend who ate 46 steamers at a clam bake in three hours.

My family recently switched to a mostly vegetarian diet. Although we do not eat beef, pork, eggs or any dairy products we still occassionally eat fish and poultry. We really miss one of our favorite foods which is Sunday style, slow cooked pot roast with roasted carrots and potatoes. What are some alternatives?

He has had heart surgery and has the beginning stages of emphzemya. Doctors tell him to stop smoking, he says he wants to but doesn't. I told him I would not buy him any more cigerrettes & he got so hateful with me that when he finally had me in tears I got them. He gets mad at me for buying a book or a brand name shampoo I like (less than $10) but he spends more than this a day on his bad habit. I asked to go to a family outing that is a couple of hours away and he complained about the cost of driving up there and the expense of eating out, etc. The entire cost of one day of family fun is less than what he spends all week on cigerettes. He smokes between 2 & 3 packs a day. He will yell & cuss if he doesn't have his cigerettes & gets mad at anyone who tells him he needs to stop (unless you are a doctor or nurse). I asked him if he cared enough about our family to try to improve his health to live longer. He didn't answer. I know it is a habit but he won't try to stop. Help!
