Legally speaking, If you hire someone, like a freind or neighbor, to watch you child during the work week at their own home, who is responsible for reporting taxes and do you have to pay them minimum wage?

I know live in nannies require min wage and the employer reports/withholds taxes and that daycares can charge their own fee and take care of the tax reporting. This situation seem to be in the middle to me.

It was my fault because I was turning left from a stop sign while a car hit me going straight. I was cited failure to yield to oncomming traffic. I know it was my fault, and I also know to tell the insurance company it wasn't my fault. It's not a civil battle, but insurance battle for money.

The girl that hit me up the front end of my 2007 Lexus is250 was driving a Mitsibishi Galant 96 and says that she was seriously injured but didn't go to hospital right away.
Now she is suing me but I know it is my fault. What do I do. I do have full coverage insurance but should I plead guilty in court? If I even go to court.

My sheltie was debarked before we got her. When I found out what that meant [taking the voice box out] i felt HORRIBLE. We didn't know that they had done it to her, but the woman we bought her from had already had her debarked for free because she has a kennel, etc. It makes me so depressed when she trys to bark because it sounds like a cry. But when I hear my other little one bark like crazy it makes me glad it happened. I guess it depends on the situation but I don't agree with it personally! Have you ever considered/done that to your dogs and why?

This started suddenly one day. My PC just turned off (Poof !!) just like that. I restarted it, it went on for some 15 minutes, then "Poof!" again. Next time I started, it stayed 5 minutes, then 2 minutes. Then it began shutting down as soon as Windows logged on.
Then I left it shut down for 7-8 hours; then when I started again, it went on for 2-3 hours. And from then on again behaved as I said.
I changed the power supply, I changed the RAM, I changed the power cord, I changed my UPS. I tried it in my sister's electricity socket, but same result.
But as I took the PC to a PC mechanic, it worked fine without shutting down for hours and hours.
I know my house has no electrical wiring or load bearing problem, because I checked those by professionals; and anyway, my sister's PC is working fine. So, why this problem with my PC?

Okay so my "baby" is 3 years old, but she has strep. I don't feel that great today either but it is just a headache and a swollen gland on one side of my neck. I don't think those are signs of strep. Should I call my doctor and tell them I have been exposed or will they even do anything since I am not really having symptoms of it. Also, if I do get step, can I take anything for it? And, can it hurt the baby?

Bush seeks new image on global warming By JOHN HEILPRIN, Associated Press Writer
1 hour, 28 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - President Bush called on the world's worst polluters Friday to come together to set a goal for reducing the greenhouse gas emissions that are causing the climate to heat up. He didn't exempt his own country from the list.

"By setting this goal, we acknowledge there is a problem, and by setting this goal, we commit ourselves to doing something about it," Bush said in a speech that capped two days of talks at a White House-sponsored climate change conference. "We share a common responsibility: to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while keeping our economies growing."

Is this a flip or a flop?

Republicans always speak of accountability and responsibility but they don't always practice what they preach. If you walked into a convenience store, took a bite out of a candy bar and then put it in your pocket, you'd still have to pay for it, wouldn't you? You used it, so now you have to pay for it. Well, that applies to our public schools, our police, firefighters, first responders, emts, our US military, our Courts, our roads and bridges and the list goes on and on. So if Republicans are willing to give up all of these benefits, then we'll be happy to excuse them from paying taxes. Thoughts?
