In general, I do not think liberals are anti-American. However, I can see why some liberals are labeled "anti-American". The far left Liberals are anti-Bush. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Bush either but just because you don't like Bush doesn't mean you need to sympathize with terrorists and dictators, just to show your hatred towards Bush. It makes the United States look weak and divided. We are free to criticize Bush all we want...but to show support for corrupt leaders in other countries undermines our country as a whole.

What does anti-American mean in your question?
If it means being against the principles of the Founding Fathers (states' rights, limited government, natural law, government deriving from the consent of the governed, right to bear arms, etc.), then I suppose the answer is yes -- most (if not all) of today's small "L" liberals are anti-American.
If you mean consciously choosing to destroy a country through confiscatory taxes and hampering entrepreneurship, then no, because for most libs it's not an intentional destruction (they don't understand the actual long-term impact of the policies they champion). For them, it's just ignorance of history and an inability to see beyond the short term.

Neither liberals nor conservatives look out for whats best for us, their interests lie in self preservation. Power for the party not for the people is all I hear every time most of them open their mouths. That to me seems as anti-American. This country has lost sight with what an American actually is. The guys who wrote the constitution and Declaration of Independence were Americans and would probably throw some beatings if they were here today.

happy to work out a conservative who does not help the blind anti intelectual hate against liberals and different political combatants. regrettably you're very a lot the minority and positively on Yahoo. the subject with conservatives isn't the many times going on conservatives themselves; it is the persons they pay attention to. Conservative leaders, of their vilification of liberals, tell maximum of lies approximately what liberals are meant to have self belief, help, say, do, etc., that the many times going on conservatives finally end up hating a fictional enemy. If what the pundits suggested approximately liberals grow to be genuine, i may well be a hardcore conservative. If liberals have been so undesirable, those pundits and politicians might have no reason to lie in any respect. they could basically recite data and enable them to stand for themselves. as a exchange they take part in character assassination and ward off speaking approximately certainly themes. They make blanket statements that have not got any foundation incredibly. what's worse is that a lot of them cloak their rhetoric in a pseudo-Christian guise to act as though God is a approach or the different on their edge (even nevertheless the Bible incredibly tells them to wish quietly and stay out of politics). almost each and every of the lies that are instructed approximately liberals are actual shattered with the barest attempt at rationality and reason. The data stand for themselves, yet a lot airborne dirt and dust is slung that the data are like gem stones buried below numerous ft of airborne dirt and dust. The data are there, and are evident and sparkling, yet regrettably you possibly can desire to dig via each and every of the crap it incredibly is spewed with a view to hold them to mild. while one digs a handful of it away, the pundits are expert at piling on much extra crap, or extra many times, will distract and divert removed from the digging.

Interesting!
When I asked for the proportion of American citizens who are terrorists who hate America, most of hte answers I got were one of 2:
All libs.
or
All dems.
You're getting more nuanced answers here (though all too many that are saying "most").
I find the attitude that disagreeing with the President is anti-American itself profoundly anti-American -- the sort of things that would have Jefferson and that crowd spinning madly in their graves, were that really possible.
When I was young (60's), those who opposed the war were anti-American commies (or at least pinkos), rather than anti-American terrorists who want us all in Burkas.
Reverence for freedom of thought and conscience, and their expression, are NOT anti-American, but quintessentially American.

Why would you say that? Can you cite specific examples of liberals being anti-American? That would help me to answer this question.
But off the top of my head...of course not! Are you saying that because they speak against Bush administration policy?

No They want what they feel is best for this country for the most part. I hardly ever agree with them, and I think they're all a little naive, But I never felt that was anti-American.

No of course not. And I don't think cons are anti American either. We have differences but most Americans are not anti American. There are exceptions to that, I think socialists are definitely anti American for example. I think those who suggest a union of north American countries are anti American. I truly believe Hillery Clinton is anti American but for the most part we are all in this together despite some minor differences we want to see the country move ahead just as it has for over 200 years.

In many ways it could be said that they are. The founders of this country never intended for our government to become as big as it has become. The original idea behind America was that the citizens were in charge and that the people had the freedom to succeed or fail on their own terms. This is no longer the case.
Liberals condone socialism, which is contrary to our Constitution and a violation of the original principles of our founders. If that isn't anti-American, I don't know what is.

A small handful of the very young and confused ones seem to be. In general, no, they have a different view of America.
