No, pensions are a separate issue entirely from social security. As long as you have contributed to social security you'll get social security. It's only if you didn't contribute to social security while being a policeman that you would get affected with social security.

It depends on whether or not you were cut FICA taxes while you were a police officer. If you weren't, then there is a probability that it will reduce your SS. However, if you had any work at all where you were cut SS taxes (aka covered wages) that can help offset any reduction.
