This started suddenly one day. My PC just turned off (Poof !!) just like that. I restarted it, it went on for some 15 minutes, then "Poof!" again. Next time I started, it stayed 5 minutes, then 2 minutes. Then it began shutting down as soon as Windows logged on.
Then I left it shut down for 7-8 hours; then when I started again, it went on for 2-3 hours. And from then on again behaved as I said.
I changed the power supply, I changed the RAM, I changed the power cord, I changed my UPS. I tried it in my sister's electricity socket, but same result.
But as I took the PC to a PC mechanic, it worked fine without shutting down for hours and hours.
I know my house has no electrical wiring or load bearing problem, because I checked those by professionals; and anyway, my sister's PC is working fine. So, why this problem with my PC?

Attention to Mr. "All Done Working":
Which Event log file would that be? The "ReportingEvents.log" file in "c:\windows\software distribution" folder? I see no other event.log type files in search results.

My first guess would be a heat problem. Take a look at the heat sink that is mounted to the cpu and make sure that it is clean. Also be sure that all cooling fans are clean and working properly.

Check your RAM and all cards to make sure they are securely inserted. Clean the CPU fan, and add some new thermal grease {following directions} to the CPU.

Your hard drive is too full, probably. Take a look at that, and if you can, 'slave' another hard drive and then see if it doesn't keep running ... if so, you can 'replace' your hard drive with a larger one, and/or add a 'slave' to store things you don't use as often, or merely want to 'store' in case you need them in the future.
