First, it IS true that plants release chemicals when physically damaged. To compare this to pain is a sign of idiocy.

The definition of pain (medterms. com)
" An unpleasant sensation that can range from mild, localized discomfort to agony."

"Unpleasant" and "sensation" are words that denote the presence of an organ (brain) that can decipher and process sensory messages. Plants don't have such an organ. Their sensory messages are purely chemical. Their responses are purely chemical. A plant does not have a nervous system.

We had puppies (half Shih-Tzu) and there are four. They all have ears but it doesn't look like they have any holes for their ear canals. My mother has had tons of dogs throughout the years, and she said she's never seen something like this before. But, we have never had this breed of dog before. We didn't know if it was a characterstic and it was ok, like we just were missing something.
Any help would be great! The puppies are 3 days old by the way.

I have been to numerous pot luck with my church people and I noticed that most people tend tobring the easiest to prepare dish or even buy them from the grocery stores... salads or desserts. It is rare that someone wld take the effort to make everybody's favorite.

What abt you? What wld u prepare... something most ppl like or the easiest available dish?

Example: If one group does not want to cut their hair, go to church on Saturday instead of Sunday or those who won't eat meat, etc. Don't you believe that they are responsible to the Lord, so only He can judge whether they are right or wrong?

she seems to know when she needs to wee and poo i've tried training nappies and nickers but she uses them instead of the potty, she does have trouble with her bowels, she finds it hard with a nappy on but I have to remove it and she'll sit on the potty otherwise it could take hours

Is Canada really a "true democracy"?

I thought democracy was all about having a majority of citizens voting for your party... But like, what, just over a quarter of Canadians voted for Stephen Harper?

And then theres the unholy CDP alliance (Conservatives and NDP working together in parliment to create a majority that can bash down on the liberals)...

...With the Conservatives and NDP having an "agreement" made behind closed doors, they become an unstoppable force in Parliment and can do pretty much whatever they want...

Now, I'm only 15, I don't understand everything here, but doesn't it seem a little odd to call Canada a "true democracy" when, once elected, a majority government can screw the people over?

Ok, so i'm very interested in joining the Air Force. I'm currently involved in an Army JROTC program at my highschool. [i'm a sophomore] And plan to continue ROTC in college.
