she seems to know when she needs to wee and poo i've tried training nappies and nickers but she uses them instead of the potty, she does have trouble with her bowels, she finds it hard with a nappy on but I have to remove it and she'll sit on the potty otherwise it could take hours

My little boy is just the same. I think it is confusing to them and will just take some time for them to realise what needs to be done. Maybe just try taking lots of spare clothes out with you and reminding her each time that if she had used the potty/toilet she would not get wet and need to get changed.

i would cancel as many appointments you have for the next two weeks as is possible, and stay in with her with the nappy off as much as possible. she will begin to equate peeing in the potty as being 'normal' and will , hopefully not evn want the nappy ( though hopefully she will want the pants unless she is being a hollywood star!)

normal potty training troubles. when mine were that young and I was home alone with them, I let them run around naked. it does not hurt anything and seemed to help them remember to go
