As Catholic Christians, we acknowledge our Jewish roots.

The Catholic Church affirms the Jewish heritage of both Jesus and Christianity, "To the Jews belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ.'

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 839 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9p3.htm#839

With love in Christ.

1. Catholics ARE Christians!
2. Catholic Christianity is not the replacement of Judaism, it is the fulfillment of Judaism.

I wouldn't say so.

I view Catholicism as much more dependent on Churches than Judaism on Synagogues. Of course, if we're comparing Orthodox Jews to Catholics, they become more similar, simply because they are both orthodox branches of Abrahamic religions.

Catholicism, though, is all about penance. All humans are inherently impure, and must balance out this impurity as much as possible through prayer and confession. In most Judaism, there's less of the concept of repentance. Of course, some holidays, like Yom Kippur, are meant to help individuals look back on what they've done wrong and change them, but it's introspection rather than confession; it's more personal.

Catholics are Christian, they believe in Christ. Why or how would a Christian group be closer to the Jews? They’re two completely different religions.

the catholic faith is the christian faith that was the first to emerge form the Jewish cult of Jesus. it is far more pagan in nature than Judaism ever was. It is a mixture of Essen Judaism and roman paganism.

Catholics are a Babylonian pagan cult. They were not the "first Christians". The first Christians were all JEWS. Peter wasn't a "pope", and the catholic cult will be used supremely to bring in antichrist.

Catholics are not saved Christians.
