and not argue with them about what they think is right or wrong? Example: If one group does not want to cut their hair, go to church on Saturday instead of Sunday or those who won't eat meat, etc. Don't you believe that they are responsible to the Lord, so only He can judge whether they are right or wrong?

Accept and welcome them into the family of believers, yes.
They are responsible to the Lord, we all are, and we have been instructed to assist them and help them grow in their faith. Some issues are open to interpetation and conscience. And we should not judge someone who simply thinks differently, but the Bible is quite clear on most, and on these ,we are to encourage our brothers and sisters to uphold them. This is to be done in a loving manner, not a hateful one.

Yes, we should accept them. I too, believe that we all are responsible to the Lord, and He is our only judge. You are right.

Thank you for posting this. That is one of the subjects we are discussing in church now. Learning about different faiths helps me a lot.

I am one who does not judge a person's faith or gender preference. If I have not walked in their shoes, then I let it go.

Again, thanks.

EDIT: I just read the answers and it is true that we are to do as Peter instructed us.
I still believe as you stated. Our instructions were only to admonish and help other Christians in a kind way. Not other beliefs.

That all depends. If it something that would affect their salvation, yes, we need to address it. If it something such as the day you attend church (as everyday should be Gods day anyway!) Eating meat or not, hair length, these are not matters of salvation. You are right on God can judge, however he appoints us to tell the nations, he gives us his word that we may know him and his ways and commandments. It is to easy for a new believer to fall to false doctrine, like anyone, they need to learn.

In Hosea the bible says that the people of God are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

If a member of the body of Christ is in error then it's the responsibility of those in the body who have knowledge to correct them by the word of God.

Many of the little things that we don't think matter to God are gates which open into the darkness of this world and if we don't guard them can draw us into it.

Yes, I agree with you. We are not to judge others (but, we often do!). They have free agency to do whatever it is that they want to do and it is not up to us to make them feel guilty or to tell them how wrong they are. That is between God and them. We should love them and be an example to them. Choices are just that; something you choose to do. You cannot and should not force people to do as you choose to do. If God wanted that, He would have made people do everything and not given them the right to choose for themselves.

I can't agree with you more! I believe Christian faith should be about accepting everyone the way they just are. God is the only to judge! If a person is committing sin, he or she, is the only one sometimes who truly knows it_here on earth.

And since God is the all-knowing he knows it of course. If and when this person repents, HE will be waiting to welcome him or her into his arms.

I think we need to get the basics down first...Salvation. If we see someone in a gross sin, then we need to correct with the Word, and let the Word convict, not us condemn. We are to mentor. Lastly, when they are mature, we can discuss, so we will be sharp in the Word.

The true Gospel and the Bible being the Word of God are non-negotiable. Without those, they aren't a believer.

Hair and nails shoudn't be an issue to argue.

LOL Agree with CJ

But must make a comment.... about those "weak in (their) faith"..... The Bible clearly says that we whom are more mature in our faith should teach, instruct, guide, rebuke, exhort, and reprove the babes in Christ.

Peace be with you :)
