I am planning to move to NYC at the beginning of January but I have a problem. I live on the West coast and bought a Mazda Miata 1 year ago, financed and i still owe about 11k on it. Now, I know that I can't take this car with me to NYC because of obvious reasons (not a winter car, too expensive to keep, not too safe to drive across country, etc)..now what can i do? Do i trade it in for something else and still make payments and find someplace with decent parking (Queens or Long Island maybe?).or do I trade it in, store it in Upstate NY where I'm from....any ideas???

I am a HAPPILY married woman, to a HAPPILY married military man, are marriage is not perfect, but we do not lie, cheat, or steal from each other. I am not lazy, fat, or with my husband because its an easy way out, I do all the housework, I cry every night while I patiently wait for him to come back home, and what do I feel like society has given me? a big slap in the face! Ive heard military wives being described as fat, slutty, slobs, that use their husband for the money (what money I ask) and that we are only with them because we dont want to get a job, I work VERY hard, and I am only with a military man, because my husband is in the military, there is no glitz or glam that comes with this heartache, I have had people walk up to my husband and thank him for all he does, and at the same time they look over at me and give me a look from hell, if you really want to support my husband who is in Iraq, you would respect his family, why do so many people hate military wives? is it jealousy

We did a lab on pennies post-1982 and pre-1982.

Pre-1982: contain 95% copper, 5% zinc.
Post-1982: purpose of this lab is to determine this.

We added hydrochloric acid solution. After 1 day, there were bubbles coming out from the notches that we carved in. After 2 days, the pennies turned a little black and the pre-1982 penny was harder than the post-1982 penny.

Questions:
Why did the pennies turn a little black?
What can you conclude about the two different metals and their reactivity with strong acids?
Would this have practical/consumer applications?

By the way, I really don't get this lab. Can someone also explain what's the point of this lab?

I ran up to the bedroom, and found him alone watching TV. I ran to the basement, but no one was hiding there either. I ran to the second floor, but no one was hiding there either. I ran as fast as I could to the attic, and just as I got there, I had a massive heart attack and died."

The second blonde shakes her head. "What a pity, if you had only looked in the freezer, we'd both still be alive."

just wondering..when mosquitos(or any other flying animal) fly, is it true that they are exerting a force downwards(by flapping their wings),thus by newton's third law there'll be a reaction force(lift) which pushes them up.

if that is true, why mosquitos dont exist on higher altitudes?is it because of the force needed to push them is too much?or is it something to deal with pressure difference??

please answer using physics concepts,thank you.

I'm a young adult now and there's this girl that I've been very close friends for years now and I know I'm in love with her, me and her are just a like but in those years I never asked her and then when I went to college i decided that i would just wait to go out with her after I get out of college but in the time she had a boyfriend that they have been dating for a couple years now and she is now pregnant, which she is still a teen and know she isn't happy. What should I do? Should I try and get with her (which I think I'm pretty sure she feels the same way about me) or should I let them be a family? I don't know what to do, it's been on my mind for months now, I know my family would be very against it and I know my friends would clown me but I know I love her and most of me just wants to be with her... any advice will be helpfull, I'm just lost

The direction says "Find the equation of the line described in slope-intercept form" The question is: Has an x-intercept of 5 and a y-intercept of -3. I know where the -3 belongs but I don't know where to plug in the -5. Please explain :]

Ok so I have one indoor cat. I have an automatic litter box but have quit using it because it doesnt really work, so now I just scoop it. I scoop it at least once daily and put that powder stuff you can buy to "freshen" the smell. However, everytime I come home... my room stinks to high heavens. I dont get it, I scoop it all the time! Are there anythings I can do??
