pros and cons of being tall?

Pros:

People are more likely to notice you.

You're not as likely to be a target for rapists or other criminals because they see you as being better able to fight back due to your size.

You don't have to look up at everybody.

You can look for people in a crowd because you can see over most people's heads.

You can reach higher objects.

You don't have to use sports equipment specifically sized for women.

You can wear men's jackets and shoes. The reason I mentioned these is that I generally like the colors of men's athletic shoes better than those for women and the jackets tend to be longer on my torso and aren't as likely to ride up.

You don't have to adjust car seats as much so you can sit farther away from the steering wheel and are less likely to be injured by a deploying airbag.

Cons:

It's more difficult to find clothes that fit properly. Pants and shirts tend to be too short. Also, the waistbands are in the wrong place.

More limited selection of shoes. This is especially true if you wear larger than a women's size 10.

Many men consider you to be too tall for their tastes.

You often have to put up with stupid comments like "How's the air up there?"

It's harder to walk in high heels.


Given a choice, I do prefer being tall to being shorter. I've never been self-conscious about my height.

I'm 5' 10 and have always been tall. I'm now ending highschool.

Pros:
It's best to be confident and comfortable with being tall. Don't be afraid to stand up straight and show it off. Sure, it intimidates the shorter people, but don't let that bring you down. You'll be starting dances soon. I have a pair of heels that are 4.5" tall :) It's fun to be able to look over everyone. Easier to find your friends that way too. You'll get used to looking down at people. Just a little awkward at times. When you're sitting, you don't feel much taller than anyone else.

Cons:
It's hard to find pants that are long enough! It always looks like you are ready for the flood. The guys will be short for quite a while still. They don't really start to catch up untill high school, but even then, they are still short :) Everyone asks how much you've grown or how much taller you are even if you haven't grown in months or years. I was always clumsy and us taller people have farther to fall :)

Just be confident and don't let your heigth slow you down. Being tall is fun and just embrace who you are. Good luck!

Im 5'8" and I like it because, well you can eat more without getting fat, it has more places to go lol. You usually have long legs! Model like figure...the bad things are its awkward to be "the tall one" when your taller than all the guys around, or even when a short one walks by you. But you gotta remember that the boys should feel worse cause they are supposed to be taller than girls =]

that's tall at 13..
u can tower over most people.. (try not to look to scary)
u can reach things otehr people can't, and act all useful..
look good on stage.. and may be take up modeling..

cons.. guys are intimedated by tall girls..
u stand out alot, and sometimes seem out of place..
