If someone with kids goes to the boss and says something like - its a school play, sports day, they've got cubs/brownies, swimming gala etc etc. - time off - no problem.
If you haven't got kids though, no chance, you get discriminated against because you choose not to have them.
If you go to the same boss and say- I want to catch a movie, me and the girlfriend are going out to dinner, the Arsenal game's on telly, etc etc - time off - no chance.
Anyone else find this??

yeah i'm feeling low atm, was the same last night. wasn't feeling particularly suicidal but i wrote down as many different methods of suicide that i could. thinking about it made me feel better. but i'm feeling cr*p again and was wondering if people could just try to cheer me up a bit, or just say something random so that i feel that the world isn't empty, and that there are people there. just please talk to me. :(

maybe vote them out in 2008?

I have heard nothing but false accusations, and treasonous slander from this group. I am tired of hearing them call everyone that is trying to fight terrorists a liar, when not one democrat has ever done anything to fight terrorism. Clinton especially permitted the WTC bombing in 1993 without punishment, the USS Cole bombing and other bombings of embassies around the world, refused to take Osama bin laden when he was apprehended, and for human rights, intentionally ignored the Sudan crisis.

First of all I will type the question and then explain what my problem is.

A 41 m guy wire is attached to the top of a 34.6 m antenna and to a point on the ground. How far is the point on the ground from the base of the antenna, and what angle does the guy wire make with the ground?

I found that the point from the ground to the base of the antenna is 22 m, which according to my book is correct. Now, I know there is a 90 degree angle in there, but I'm confused as to how to find the other angles since no other angles were given. Can someone please explain to me how to do this?

I am, for the first time, involved with a man that is not circumsized. I have checked out pictures on the net because I can't imagine that he'd want my face right down in his crotch asking a bunch of questions....what have I found out you ask, well, I have never seen the head of his penis. (please no childish remarks) I did try gently pulling down with my hand but I could tell it caused him discomfort, what am I doing wrong or ...what should I be doing/trying?

Hello,
I want to lose about 10 pounds in two months and slim down. I suppose that excersicing in general will help me lose my tummy and thighs? I heard that running long distance would help slim my legs down. I do not want to gain bulky muscles.

If I were to do run long distance, about how(what running plan/how fast), how long and how many time per day should i run? I have an treadmill in my school and i'm planning to go there about 4 to 5 times a week. about half hour each time? I eat about 1500 calories a day.

Each workout, i usually go 10 min slow walking, 10 min quick walking and 10 min fast jogging.

Thanks.

P.S. I know when you cool down, some of your sweat gets evaporated but does some get reabsorbed?

a friend of mine from like 10 years ago's mother died this week, I was talking to someone else that knew her and this is what happened I was like "you knew so and so right? he said "yeah" I said "did you know her mother" "I think so" "this is awful but she died this week" he didn't know her too well but i felt like I shouldn't have said that, but i feel like he had the right to know, but was I wrong for saying that? I feel like I've done this before, where I'll spill bad news about someone but feel like the person has the right to know, but I feel like I break it in a horrible way. thoughts? is there a better way to tell someone that an aquaintance has died, or just don't mention it even if they will never find out most likely?

I was born in the Philippines 15 years ago and have lived here all my life. My mom is an American citizen who acquired her citizenship by birth but had lived in the US for three years only before her family moved back to the Philippines. My father is Filipino. My question is that am I considered an American citizen having been born to one American parent? If not, can I apply for citizenship and claim my rights under my mother who is a US citizen? Thanks!

My car needs to change transmission and the mechanic in the car dealership said it would be a re-manufactured transmission (factory-rebuild). My car is a new Toyota still under warranty. The mechanic said it should be as good as a brand new transmission because all components inside the transmission are new and made in Toyota factory and only the frame (the box) is reused transmission box. Can anyone advise me if it is true and what is the difference between the re-manufactured and other re-build (for the old car) transmission? How am I sure that the right transmission is installed? Thanks so much for your professional advises.
