I look for interesting articles, usually they're in magazines. Sometimes, though, a newspaper will publish a more in depth piece.

I read both, and I think magazines are better, because of the depth they go into, even if the "news" does come a couple of days later. I don't need to know most news the instant it drops from the journalists' pens, so mags do it for me. So much news is so very localized or so much on celebrities that it's discouraging, so mags like The New Yorker round it out nicely.

Both of them serve a purpose, but I prefer magazines.
