Hello,
I want to lose about 10 pounds in two months and slim down. I suppose that excersicing in general will help me lose my tummy and thighs? I heard that running long distance would help slim my legs down. I do not want to gain bulky muscles.

If I were to do run long distance, about how(what running plan/how fast), how long and how many time per day should i run? I have an treadmill in my school and i'm planning to go there about 4 to 5 times a week. about half hour each time? I eat about 1500 calories a day.

Each workout, i usually go 10 min slow walking, 10 min quick walking and 10 min fast jogging.

P.S. I know when you cool down, some of your sweat gets evaporated but does some get reabsorbed?

I gained a lot of weight over the past year and in the summer I was determined to lose it. So far I lost 15 pounds and by god's will I will lose more. Here is how I did it.

I learned that in order to lose at least one pound per week, I would have to burn 3500 calories more than I take in. This gave me a numerical guidance which was very helpful. In order to burn 3500 calories extra, you can do this by eating 250 calories less per day and burning 250 calories extra per day through excercies for example ( or of course, if you wish not to restrict your calories you can choose just to burn 500 calories through excercise.. I went on daily walks for 2 hours and on the weekend three hour walks.
You can burn 200-300 calories on the treadmill in half an hour depeending on the intensity or you can do any other activities. If at first, you do not see results, do not despair. You will be gaining muscle, which is desirable in your weight loss plan, since muscle burns more calories per gram than fat and you will be pumping up your rest metabolic rate.
The scale with me did not start going down till three weeks later, which as you can imagine, was very disheartening and I almost gave up.
As far as my diet was concerned, I ate very healthy, organic minimally processed foods, and tried incorporating as much fiber as I can. ( one needs 20-30 g of fiber per day, and the average person eats far less than that).
Finally, I find it helpful to drink a glass of hot water several times throughout the day. and god knows best.

I found this running plan online, it will get you running a 5k in 3 months, and you will even like doing it. I finished the plan about a month ago and it really works. You start out slow and build up so it's actually do-able. I promise if you do this and eat (semi) healthy you will lose more than 10 lbs. (I've come down from 195-155 since May- no pills, no skipping meals, just changing some habits).
Oh, and remember to stretch!

Your diet is the key to your weight loss. Look at your diet first then tweak your workout program.
