With the approach of Ramadan I've been thinking about Muslim religious events and how every single one involves nothing but sacrifice, prayer, and (in some cases) self flagellation. I know this is all part of the total submission to Allah, but are there holidays I'm not aware about where Muslims just have fun. You know, watch the soccer game with friends while the kids open presents under the Islam tree, the wives make some Chai egg nogg, and just have fun?

A friend's roommate spends all of her time at her lover's place and is literally never home. I am the only person who gives her neglected cat any attention and the cat runs to me every time I arrive and stays by me during my entire visit. I have really grown to love her and everybody calls her my cat now. I've had cats before and have never liked one as much as this one. Her owner has decided to give her away. My apartment building's owner said I can't have her, but the apartment manager likes me and wants me to have her. She said she would turn a blind eye but would have to play dumb if the building owner finds out. I can't afford to move and I'm afraid of getting evicted. I hope to move within the next year, but I don't know if I'll be able to for sure. I can't stand the thought of giving this cat away to a stranger. What should I do?

The manager of a large apartment complex knows from experience that 100 units will be occupied if the rent is 320 dollars per month. A market survey suggests that, on the average, one additional unit will remain vacant for each 5 dollar increase in rent. Similarly, one additional unit will be occupied for each 5 dollar decrease in rent. What rent should the manager charge to maximize revenue?

Hi everyone,

I am about to perform in my first ever play in a local amateur theatre group. I have a large role with lots of lines, but am never on stage alone. I have never done this before.

I am starting to feel really nervous, particularly at the thought of close friends and family watching (I encouraged them all to come thinking it would make me feel better!).

What can I do to try and ease this sensation?

I want to get a motorcycle and learn how to ride. Is a Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200N(around 545lbs) or similar too heavy for a beginner? If it is too heavy, what is a weight I should be looking for?

Sorry Im just getting real upset over silly things ugh...
Ok, mother in hospital needs kidney transplant. I'm flying overseas to san antonio and I need a motel that is NOT expensive but safe...I need it to be near the university hospital (medical center) but also near to the airport area (where mom lives for if she checks out). I'll be staying a week and I don't drive, so I'd like a motel that at least has a restaurant or market walking distance from it. Does anyone know of an Inn or motel that fits these guidlines?! Thank you SO MUCH in advance!!! I know nothing about san antonio or the states!!

Was conned into buying Fashion Fujioptics FF-225 Digital Camera in Tenerife. Battery dropped out and I have not been able to find a compatible battery on internet? Does anyone have one of these cameras and would be so kind as to tell me the exact battery model? All it says on box is rechargeable li-ion battery, I may have to resort to going back to Tenerife and getting one there! Or getting my money back!!!!!

I was raised in a conservative christian family and when i grew up to be 28, i thought that there might be something else, and because i live amongst Muslims in the middle east i starting hating this idea of GOD and ALLAH and ofcourse muslim as god himself does not like them, anyway i thought that the creators might be having fun watching their creations run in a cage, i dont know how big this cage is, but they surely enjoy putting limitations to us, creating dinosaurs and then changing their minds about them, sending viruses and deseases and watching us battel for oil that they want us to discover, it's ironic, maybe they'd send us UFOs one day to make it more exciting for them, maybe we will worship those UFO's, its fun in the end how stupid and pathetic we are, we are effortless, we cant be them or he or she, and we just DIE, thats the worst part of it, if we are racists its because of them creating us with different colors and shapes and enviroments, i dont like this reality.

I've read somewhere that a variable under the division bar, which is in the denominator, can not be a polynomial. I even don't know why. Help?

What about the letter c question, the variable "x" is located parallel to the division bar which is between the numerator and denominator. Is that still a polyomial?

Ok so when I got my lip pierced earlier tonight. The lady that did it at the tattoo shop said to use salt water or saline. I started thinking isn't contact cleaner saline? Could I just use that to clean the piercing? and would it be safe?
