Jinns are spirit creatures. They are scientifically studied and classified by science under supernatural phenomenon.
The islam-bashers and haters want to associate Jinns with fairies so as to create an impression that the belief of Muslims regarding Jinns is like fairy tales:fiction.
So who are the Jinns? It is wrong to say that Jinns are Satans. Jinns are created beings like humans but they do not have the physical body only the spirit. Like humans they have the free will to choose between right from wrong and thus can be sinners or righteous. They can be Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Atheists, Muslims or Hindus. They follow different form of worships and faiths. But some are just totally evil and these are the Satans. It is worth to note that the Qur'an clearly states (HQ 114:5) that evils are not just from Jinns but also from mankind.
Are Jinns real? The reality that we are experiencing is not an absolute truth therefore not the absolute reality. Our experiences of reality are totally dependent on our physical senses. For example a deaf can not hear a song that a normal person can. While the song is real for the one who can hear it, for the deaf it is not just a reality because he can not experience it. Although he knows that there is that song, he can not describe the song in words because he is not able to experience it by his sense of hearing. This is the same with the belief in God or Jinns. They may not be physically experienced by the body but they can be verified by something else: that is what we call FAITH. Although for some the experience of God or Jinn is not real, for many it is a living reality.
I believe in God even though I can not experience Him by my physical senses and I also believe in what He told us about the Jinns. It may be difficult for some to understand, but logic and rationality tell us that there is more to what our senses can experience: more than what we see, what we smell, what we feel, what we hear and what we taste...

Yes of course because they're mentioned in the Quran and everything mentioned in the Quran is true, in fact there's a whole Surah in Quran named "Al-djinn" it's the Surah N:72, they're made from fire and among them there could be believers and non-believers also Satan is a Djinn, the non- believers among them are the cause of evil in this world, they are responsible for possessions of human beings and all witchcraft is done through them, they're invisible to us and they have extra powers comparing to humans, they can change their forms and voices to look like us and they even can imitate ones voice exactly, what's funny is what Christians believe about spirits and ghosts and all stories you may hear about ghosts manifestations or spirits of dead people talking to their beloved living relative is nothing but Djinns work they could imitate the dead persons voice or shape to mistaken his family about what's really going with him in the hereafter and to make people disbelieve in God.
The Holy Quran:002.102
PICKTHAL's Interpretation of the meaning: And follow that which the devils falsely related against the kingdom of Solomon. Solomon disbelieved not; but the devils disbelieved, teaching mankind magic and that which was revealed to the two angels in Babel, Harut and Marut. Nor did they (the two angels) teach it to anyone till they had said: We are only a temptation, therefore disbelieve not (in the guidance of Allah). And from these two (angles) people learn that by which they cause division between man and wife; but they injure thereby no-one save by Allah's leave. And they learn that which harmeth them and profiteth them not. And surely they do know that he who trafficketh therein will have no (happy) portion in the Hereafter; and surely evil is the price for which they sell their souls, if they but knew.

Without a doubt. One of the last verses in the Qur'an mentions that this book is revealed for the Jinn and Mankind. Satan is a Jinn... and Jinn are intelligent free-willed being that exists on a plane we can not see. They are make of a smokeless, heat-less fire and generally live several hundred years.

Praise be to Allaah.
The Qur’aan and Sunnah indicate that the jinn exist, and that there is a purpose for their existence in this life, which is to worship Allaah Alone, with no partner or associate. Allaah says (interpretation of the meanings):
“And I (Allaah) created not the jinns and humans, except they should worship Me (Alone).” [al-Dhaariyaat 51:56].
“O assembly of jinns and mankind! Did there not come to you Messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My Verses…?” [al-An’aam 6:130]
The world of the jinn is an independent and separate world, with its own distinct nature and features that are hidden from the world of humans. Jinns and humans have some things in common, such as the possession of understanding and the choice between the way of good and the way of evil. The word jinn comes from an Arabic root meaning “hidden from sight”. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“… Verily he [Shaytaan] and his qabeeluhu [his soldiers from the jinn or his tribe] see you from where you cannot see them…” [al-A’raaf 7:27]
Allaah has told us in His Book the essence from which the jinn were created. He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame o fire.” [al-Hijr 15:27]
“And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire.” [al-Rahmaan 55:15].
According to a hadeeth narrated by ‘Aa’ishah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The angels were created from light, the jinn were created from fire, and Aadam was created from that which has been described to you.” (Reported by Muslim, 5314).
