Perhaps all of the "right wing homophobes" should just meet up at one of their mansions and have Grand Old Orgy. You know there's nothing wrong with being a gay politican so long you acknowledge that gays deserve equal rights. And it's probably not a good idea to have fun in public restrooms in the first place. Waving your hand under another stall? You could have at least flushed all of the toilette papaer away and pretend like you where looking for some more. Some might say that the police shouldn't be there in the first place but I definately find it more than necessary to discourage these activivites so I can use the stalls in peace, without having to stress over the fact that there's so much gay sex that occured were I and my fellow civilized people deficate.

Senator Craig should have faught for an AIDS funding. His games are one of the reasons it spreads in America.

Right wing homophobes. Don't know any of those, and I know enough right wing people to populate a small town.

No, the only thing that came out of this for me is that if I ever take a crap in a public restroom again, I will make damn sure there are no cops in there for fear I'll move my foot in a certain way and find myself being charged for some BS I didn't even know existed. I'm way, way too busy a person to be going to jail because some jackass with a badge is accusing me of something because of the way I moved my foot. Patently ridiculous, the whole thing.

Irrational lefties seem to see right-wing homophobes everywhere. Try to find one though.

News flash...turns out that disagreement with a homosexual lifestyle does not equal being a homophobe.

Homophobes? No such thing, Lurlene. That's just another homo fantasy run amok: "You dislike me and my lifestyle, therefore you must want to be just like me." ??? Give me a break already.

I wasn't there and neither was anyone else on this board, so none of us can say exactly what happened except that the cop and the senator disagree. But the cop was out to catch pervs and thought he had a big one on the line, and cops have been known to bend the rules, even lie like a bad rug, in order to make a high-profile arrest.

All things considered, I believe Craig's version of the events over the cop's. Craig's only mistake was in thinking he could make it go away by pleading to the lesser charge.

Sen.Craig has the right to do whatever he wants, the police officer in the toilet is not doing his job stopping crime,, the only reason those men are in the public bathroom tapping toes is because of the laws about prostitution,so that cop causes the problem then fixes it ,, bad plan..

I think the only thing that came out of it (productive) was an indication that all police sting operations need audio and visual recordings of the offense.
