My cat purrs and loves to hunt and eat butterflys. When I was in high school I did an etching which had flutterbys in the title.
I'd have to say yes as my purr loves flutters.

I just looked up butterflies in the dictionary to confirm one of it's meanings: ''butterflies, (used with a plural verb) Informal. a queasy feeling, as from nervousness, excitement, etc.''
To answer your question, No...there was no purr for the ''flutter'' within me as I was face to face with a pit bull one night, that was walking loose on the street...it came right up to me and as his head brushed up against my hand , I was praying to God with all my might...then it turned and walked away...I knew instinctively not to say a word because if it sensed fear in my voice it may have attacked me...and even though the dog turned to walk away...I did not run, because if you run, a dog can run after you...you're supposed to face the animal and look head on while walking slowly backwards. I was glad I didn't have my German Shepherd/part Rottweiler dog with me because my dog don't like other dogs, [only humans she loves, as well as our 3 cats]...so there would definitely been a dog fight. There was no purr for the ''flutter'' within me that night.

The star will kiss thy forehead and lay by you till yee rest
There is a flutter in my heart to spread the wings and fly,
Never to look down and never depart
Till the feet stop, the star dims and I forever rest...

Thank you for putting a hand on my heaped up heart and being so blessed.
What a wonder you are, an artiste in this maze of tangles and knots.
Piecing apart, losing the cloud, breathing new life into the stuckness.
Blessings to you flutterbypurr

Nothingness stole the last bit of purr from my heart, and now IT too is just as condemned to Being as I am. ... Not of Being, Nothingness, Transcendence, or Beyond - and I'm still dreaming.

My purr isn't given out lightly. Only true beauty as my mind sees it would release such a sensation from my slowly corrupted heart.
