Ok so when I got my lip pierced earlier tonight. The lady that did it at the tattoo shop said to use salt water or saline. I started thinking isn't contact cleaner saline? Could I just use that to clean the piercing? and would it be safe?

No, that has a million other things in it. why would you want to put that in your mouth? just use salt water. salt.... and water.

Ask a doctor about the right antbiotic ointment to use. LIp Piercing can easily get infected with disasterous results.. Getting it done at a tatoo shop is playing russian roulette with your face.

use saltwater. its a lot more convenient and cheap. just mix the salt and water. and its more soothing if its warm. this really does work and takes away the infection. also try use some neosporin so it doesnt get infected, ice it and take ibuprofin for swelling. good luck
