I got a medical DVD with workbook that is compulsary for uni - it shows us how to do basic procedures like blood pressure or whatever.

All my other DVDs play in full colour normally but this one is playing black and white. the book says it should be colour coded for us to move between different topics.

so it shud be colour.
i dont know what to do its hard to examine things like temperature charts that are colour coded and understand what they are talking about if its black and white i cant see the colours

My conservative in-laws think kids need to "cry it out." And, I'm not talking about the "Ferber" method. They think a child should cry, and cry even if he/she cries for 2 hours straight.

I'm more inclined to NOT have the children cry. I'm of the belief that it's not good for kids to cry themselves to sleep.

What are you opinions on this subject?

Also, cause I'm trying to find a correlation, what are your political leanings?

I have a Masters degree, have taught writing, have had a collection of poetry published, I write reviews for publication, and have been an editor. Would you hire me for say $20 / hour to proofread / edit papers, creative writing and the like? This would go beyond only grammar ... but content critique and suggestions, etc. Basically, I would be a personal editor to a student or writer. Also; I know a great deal about the publishing process and the publishing world to help an aspiring writer.

My husband has awful panic attacks usually occuring in the middle of the night, he will just wake up and start moaning and pacing the floors and will go outside and walk the street like a crazy man. He refuses to go to the doctor and I don't know what to do for him. He freaks me out bad! What can I do to help him, it has been happening more and more often, almost daily now. The stress he is under is normal day to day stress and I'm at a loss, any suggestions??

The shower will have approximately sixty guests and although not formal, it will be a sit down meal. The bride refuses to have games but does realize that for such a large venue and group size, there has to be something going on the entertain. She attended another shower that showcased a fashion show. Although that is not reflective of her personality, she would like me to come up with something unique and memorable like this. Any suggestions are welcome! The location is a hall but also a gallery, if that helps spark any ideas.

I've heard that text-messaging while driving would cause fatal results, so I'm considering two examples of such news reports of text-messaging fatalities that I've heard:

1.) In Fairport, N.Y., five teenage girls died when their SUV slammed head-on into a tractor-trailer. Investigators looking into the crash have found that text messages were sent back and forth from the driver's cell phone just moments before the crash.
2.) While he was text-messaging, Patrick Sims slammed and killed bicyclist Jim Price, a father of two.

I looked at an issue of "People" magazine and came up with the two examples of text-messaging fatalities that moved me. My sympathetic condolences go to the victims caused by the accidents. In my opinion, text-messaging while driving should be illegal by law, and it should apply not only teenagers but to adults as well.

What do you think? Should text-messaging while driving be illegal by law? What kinds of penalties should we give for breaking it?

About 50 years ago, L. David Mech and others observed the interaction of wolves in their packs. Part of their scientific observation was discussions of alpha dominance in the packs.

Various people then took these ideas and applied them to dog behavior.

Since then MANY scientists, and the original observers, have come out and proven that these ideas are NOT appropriate when it comes to DOG behavior. One of their arguments, if this were true, we should be able to apply the behavior of apes to humans.

Due to a certain TV personality, these methods are enjoying a resurgence. Unscientifically, I've noticed that these methods are especially touted by the macho part of our society.

So, is this simply an excuse to rationalize abuse, or is there any SCIENCE behind any of this? If you think it's science, please give me one or two SCIENTISTS so I can read their work.

I mliving with someone for yr now & he seems to be a million miles away lately. I am a mom of 2 and have also taken on his 2 boys & recently agreed they could move in with us 2. I am the "good girl" home everynight do the house, dinner, take care of everybody thing & consider myself a very attractive person. I cater to him as much as I can but when he went to get their things to bring them back to our home he dissapeared for a few days & came back without them. His ex & family said he has always been like this & did it to them 2 for yrs. He has lately not been working but tells me things will get better but I cant see past the hurt right now of him not doing right by me or the kids. He says he doesnt want to break up and he knows how to fix it but just wont. I feel as if I am being dragged. If you had someone at home to do all these things for you wouldn't you be inclined to treat them better? I do love him and want to try to see him through whatever this is hes dealing with but how
