IO Psychologist usually work for large corporations doing pre-employment screenings and consulting work. They are usually paid more than the average psychologist, but psychologists in general are not highly paid. Go to www.apa.org for more information.

Depends on the program from which you graduate, and which degree you're talking about here (MA or PhD).
Going to a really good program (i.e. Michigan State is the best in the nation) and getting a Ph.D. would probably set you up for some very highly paid consulting jobs. You would be trained to be an expert by other experts to help companies and corporations do business effectively while creating good morale with their employees. People who do that successfully for companies earn top dollar.
