I am well aware that i have spyware and virus on my computer, but my control panel is missing!! and whenever I right click on the desktop to change my settings it says "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator".
I had read a question like mine, and i got to step 3 of4 where it said to click a button having to do with the control panel, but couldn't find it. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Go toa friends PC with memory stick / blank CD, and download the 2 programs below and then install them on yours, and use them to try to scan and clean the system

If using a mermory key, SCAN it with antivirus as soon as you connect to their machine.

I'd reccomend these 2, run each in turn
ADAWARE fro www.lavasoftusa.com (Free personal version)
also SPYBOT S&D from www.spybot.org (Again free for home use)

Also worth having in toolbox is CCLEANER from www.ccleaner.com again a free download, and a good general windows tidyup utility.

TRY EDITING THE GROUP POLICY EDITOR.
GO TO START>RUN>GPEDIT.MSC (MIND THE "DOT" BEFORE MSC).
THEN, IN USER CONFIGURATION, GO TO ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATE>CONTROL PANEL.
ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN, THERE IS A SETTING WHICH SAYS "PROHIBIT ACCESS TO CONTROL PANEL", DISABLE IT!!

OR U CAN USE UR XP CD TO REPAIR UR WINDIOWS

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THEN UR PC IS SURELY INFECTED. TRY USING A GOOD ANTI VIRUS
