Hello my friend,
Love the new name. I'm going to answer a few more of your questions but this one first.
I've never thought of being consumed by shadows: a weighty notion but a good one. Could this be dark shadows, ghosts of the past, worries about the future, thoughts of what once was, of what might be. Or lighter, brighter shadows that are luminous in the darkness: shadows of hope, desire, anticipation, expectation. Vague shadows, unclear thoughts, impressions of dreams. Transparent shadows: a wish, a fancy, an inclination. Maybe we’re all resting in the shadow of being and moving through life alters the shape, form and consistency of our shadows.

Sounds as if you aren't having a good day. I hope that it will get better for you. You need to find something that makes you happy and stick with it, it will only lead to more happiness. Life is too short to be sad. Live it up, and spread the joy.

do you mean shadows of sadness?
for a while i was,then i decided that life is too short to alway be sad!!i got rid of what was making me sad and now i am happy!!:)
