In an effort to raise the level of discourse on these pages, I commend the following sites to your attention:

The first site is written by a non-scientist, but he's clearly a smart guy and is thinking rationally about the issues. He makes some good points, although on others he's simply uninformed.

The second site is by a guy who is really looking hard at the data, trying to find flaws in methodology. He is biased: his goal is to debunk anthropogenic global warming, but he is constrained by the scientific process. He tends to a little crankiness about access to original data and algorithms, but hey, that's OK.

So I suggest you deniers read these sites, and let's have some genuinely rational discussions about real issues.

I am wondering if their is a real need for teachers in Texas? I am considering alternate teacher certification and was looking for employment on different school web sites and did not see much of a need at this time for teachers. Is it possible that this is the case because the school year is beging?
Also, I have my BA in History but am seeking certification in special education is their a large need for that subject area and would it be possible to teach that subject area if my BA is in History?
One final question what is the best alternate teacher certification program for the Houston area or San Antonio?

I have been friends with this woman and her husband for almost 2 years now. She is only 28 y/o, a few years younger than me. Well they both burp all the time, sometimes saying excuse me. Actually, they belch more than burp. I spend more time with her than with him. While I like her a lot as a person, this burping and belching is truly disgusting. I don't think she realizes how nasty it is. I can't take it anymore. How do I tell her?

It has been running great since I bought it, but today when I went out to start it, it wouldn't start. Even when I turn the ignition to On, no lights light up, and the power locks won't work. I am hoping it is just the battery, but wonder if the electrical problems that the monte carlo's are notorious for are starting up... any ideas? Comments? Advise?

I have been married for 20 years and found out 3 months ago that my husband was having an affair. I found out on accident by listening to his MP3 player (It recorded everything that happened that morning along with a phone call with him and his girlfriend). After he was already caught, he told me that he only talked with her maybe once every three months... I found out it was more like 8-10 times a day. He lied about being at her house among other things. Everything I found out, I found out by 3rd party and had to have the proof before he would come clean with what happened. Other then what I found out he wont tell me anything. now that its 3 months after I found out, he expects me to never bring it up, never to be hurt and I should have no questions because according to him there are no answers. I have never gotten any answers as to why he did this or why it lasted 2 1/2 years. How do I get over this? Will I ever get over this?

my dog is 2 years old and since i got him he been having the same problem and i thought he would grow out of it but did'nt... i'm a little tired taking out the mop every 5 sec...

for example... as soon as some one walks thought the dore my dog gets all excited(normal) but then start peeing every were wile he jumping of excitement.... but then i punish him ... i don't think he does this intentionaly.. also sometime when i walk in i tell him that its ok and try to calm him down but sometime he bends down and pees thinking that i'm punishing him or something.. so when he get excited or scared he pees... i don't know what i should do... should i go see a vet??? please help me my house just smell like pee all the time

ok.. i ordered a chinese last night but didnt get to touch it.. it is still in its boxes as it came.. chicken, beef and rice mainly.. i let it cool down and put it in the fridge over night. Is it safe for me to microwave it later til its piping hot and eat it tonight?.. what do you think?

this is a 'lighthearted post' with the intention of rasing a few smiles - please don't take me seriously! best answer will be for witty responses!

Following on from my last post I'm still having my hip hop revival & the above track (fat joe, my lifestyle) set me thinkin bout all my haters (6 of them!)

You've all slagged me off royally and I feel you think you could do it better so how bout it?
I'm offering you my job (senior case worker in a youth offending team) my course (masters in social work) which I do alongside each other as its a sponsorship . . .

how about less hate more action? I'm bored of writing up this work so who wants it?
(btw - I just walked to the loo and realised I had a hip-hop bounce and attracted the attention of a group of 'street looking' undergrads, I'm mortified but PMSL!!!!!!)
