If so, were you satisfied with the results? Did you have any complications or negative aftereffects?

Yep - last year. No complications, no after effects. I sat up and could see. Went home, had a headache, took some tylenol, took a nap. At my one month check-up, I was seeing 20/10. I've never had eyesight that good. It's been weird - textures and colors are more vivid. Almost trippy.

I used to be very near-sighted, with astigmatism (-6.25, -6.5).

I would recommend custom lasik. It costs a little more, but it makes a better topography of your eye = more accurate results. Less likely to over-correct your eye (which can never be fixed). I would also recommend going to a highly reputable surgeon. Not worth risking your eyesight haggling over a few hundred bucks.

I still have dry eye in the morning. I just need an eye drop to get moving - it feels like I'm wearing dried-out contacts.

Oh, and I'm pregnant right now, and I think my eyesight is slipping a bit. They said that's a risk w/ pregnancy, but it should correct itself in time. If not, they can do a touch-up. I might go and get some glasses for distance soon - I'll see how bad it gets. It's pretty mild right now.

my dad had it.. he went out the same day and was able to get the glasses restriction taken off his drivers license.... 4 years later and he's still doing good... his eyes were a little sensitive to light at first... but other than that he never has had any problems.
