For the same reason HE created zillions of other planets. Why would he would put people on Earth & leave All the others empty. It is rather arrogant to think that this small insignificant planet is the only one capable of sustaining life.........Otherwise humanity is just an experiment of GOD'S & he doesn't really care what we do....I don't believe that for a minute.

The Mormons would be ok with it as they supposedly received knowledge that there is life on other planets and their God is only the god of the human race. However I don't know generally what the effect would be on religion. Priests and Pastors would need to tell their congregations *something* but what? It would cause some pretty titanic shifts in perception. Probably a lot of new agnostics, and a number of new churches partly based on supposed alien influences in a similar fashion to those loons who run dolphin temples or whatnot. If its intelligent life, then a lot will be hanging on the religious views (if any) of the race we contact. If they have no religion, I think that'll bode very very badly for the future of religious belief here. But lets face it, the chances of this happening are remote in the extreme, and it's almost impossible to consider how the human race would react to not being alone.

Because he can! It's all about evolution of the souls, the universe, and God. He needs souls in order to continue His evolution. There are many places and careers in heaven that require good spirits. God can forsee that his vast universes are ever continuing to expand. New life will spring up on planets in His creation. More spirits are needed to obtain this goal. Have a read from this book. It really does explain it much better than I can.

Yes but I think after this planet is done right and everyone of the problems have been fixed. So it must be future.
If he had life on the other planets, then why did this one have to decide the issue of universal sovernity. That god;s way of ruling is best.
We are the very beginning of this kind of life form.
there are spirit persons, but we are the first human's.

It is possible that God created everything to see what would happen, kind of like an experiment. In that case we just happened to show up and the aliens just happened to show up to.

Why not? There are untold numbers of galaxies in the universe. It is rather self-centered to think that we are the only planet to have life. The universe is probably teeming with intelligent life.

I don't think there is any life out there (intelligent, anyway, there might be bacteria) otherwise it would've said something about it in the Bible.
