I am 21/f and moving to NYC in January. I am currently living in PA and I have been planning this move and saving up my money for a while. I will be attending school at LIU and working on my 2nd bachelors.

Anyway, I am looking for apartments right now online and I am planning on looking at them sometiem in October. I am confused about the areas of NY and I'm not sure which are the safest or most convenient. Could you give me any tips?

In Manhattan.....I want to be close to 34th street....so which area is that?

Why is this barbaric "sport" still legal anywhere in the civilized world? The animal is tormented, injured and then killed for the bloodlust delight of the audience. Perhaps it's not quite as brutal and inhumane as dogfighting, but shouldn't it be considered along those lines?

I have a 2003 Honda Civic that I have had since it was new. I've never had any troubles at all with it.

I hit a piece of wood on the freeway going 70mph about 3 months ago and blew out the tire. Since then, I've been noticing problems. Obviously--my alignment is shot. But, my steering is odd too--it sort of "sighs" when I turn the wheel. It also is lacking it's get-up-and-go. I can hit the accelerator & it takes it a half a second to respond. Perhaps the most concerning thing is the puddles of water that are forming under my car every time I stop. They're not tiny either. They're big puddles--too big to just be moisture from my air conditioner. If it is a leak in a hose or something--could it have been caused when I hit the wood? The leak seems to be coming from the center of the front--what COULD it be? I'm trying to determine how urgent it is that I get it into a shop.

I know the obvious answer - voting.
But say most of the population disagrees with the war - why wouldn't we have a say? It is our country.
Say that most of the population disagree with how their taxes are spent - shouldn't they have a say? It is our country.

The government is supposed to represent us. Why wouldn't the public's opinions count?

PLEASE do not make this a conservative/liberal debate. That's not what I'm looking for.

I wanna get a Intel core duo and a motherboard that supports the new intel quads and also the duo processors. Can someone give me links for both the processor and the motherboard? I dont want to spend a whole lot of money on a motherboard just something that is good for gaming and supports the 2 processors. I plan on spending around $200 for the processor but I am not to sure on the price of those.

If anyone could give me a link for the board and CPU that would be awesome and I would appreciate it!

She told me that she's straight, but I like her and I'm not sure if she likes me or not. She looks at me often and doesn't turn around when I look at her. On messenger, she always sends me those "flirty" audibles or those that are in the "China" or "Taiwan" group (I guess that's how you call it) that have the hearts and/or "kissy" things. I have sent some to her, and she doesn't seem to get mad or anything at all.
When she sleeps over, or when there's a sleepover and we're both there, she tries to annoy me and sometimes tackles me for no reason.
I usually send out random IMs and I sent one that says "Who wants a kiss???" and she says "ummmm" and then I ask again and she says "I like hugs better"... I'm not sure if that's supposed to mean anything, but I guess it might.
When were out somewhere and we're walking or running (when there's other people, or not) she's always next to me or right behind me, even if she's tired or wants to stop....

okay, im a 22 year old male in the NAVY, we were together 3 years, i loved her deeply and she always told me the same, but when i was in bootcamp she cheated on me when i was away and we broke it off. when i came home a month ago i found a bag on my porch with all my stuff in it, a watch, a ton i cothes i bought myself in chicago with her, (of course my ring i gave her or all the clothes i bought her are not in there) as you can tell she was very high maintenance and probobly a gold digger the whole time. i have a WHOLE LOT OF SH!T of sentimental value letters sent went i was away pictures etc bagged up likewise, should i return the favor and throw the SH!T on her porch as well? im confused need tips :)

During the race one of the big liquor companies (Jack or Jim) I don't remember which, ran an ad.Now,I'm not a big T.V. watcher other then Nascar,but does anyone know if they advertise Hard liquor on any other program.I also know they pulled all hard liquor ads years ago although I believe by agreement not law.Have I just been missing the fact they are advertising or is this new? Today at school my girlfriend came to pick me up and she waited for me one hour outside, but then a friend of mines called me cause her bus didn't picked up and I told her that i didn't have a car that I was with a friend, so my girlfriend was mad cause I called her my friend and didn't say it was my g/f, but I feel so bad about my mistake and I know it and I had said sorry many times, we only see eacho other once a week. My fiance and I are both 35.I just got him his first Credit Card and it came 2 days before school started, which was perfect because I had no money to get my kids school stuff (we moved last month and the move-in fees came from my paychk) and I have 2 kids from my previous marriage. But when I called him to ask if I can open it he said no, that he would (since he's never had one before...WTF?) Anyway, he NEVER even offered to help me with the school stuff. He just let it sit there on the nightstand. I am so hurt because I earn most of the money and pay all the big bills, so I am always paying for things when we go out...etc. This really makes me not want to marry him. Why would he do that?

Hi,
I'm currently 20 years, i wanna start thinking of my future etc. I'm still in college but i want to start investing for my long run. Icici bank (international bank) pays 9.5% interest on 365 term deposit which i think is really good compare to other banks here in Canada. I'm not sure how I'm going to do this so this is why I'm asking. so i have few questions.
I basically want to put $300/month for next 30-40 years. if i keep adding $300 for 30 years I'm looking for about $553,342. after interest etc. This number is based on 9% interest. it would be easy to determine how much it would be exact if it was a savings account. but since this is a term deposit how will it work out? Like Should i save $300 until end of the year and put it all at onces or can i still put $300 in my previous term deposit.
Not sure how to explain this.

I've lost 4 people that I love so much 2 from cancer and the other 2 from a serious head on collision there was 2 fatalitys and 1 that survived. it was a head on with a mustang a semi-truck my aunt uncle and couzin were in that mustang it was totaled after the wreck, i lost my aunt and couzin in that wreck and my uncle survived. it was a miracle he survived but, he was in a coma for 3 months and a week and 3 and a half days. they were about to unplug his breathing tank but, he came out of his coma right before they unplugged him. well, i lost my other aunt to cancer as well, as my grandfather. all 4 people ment so much to me... what am i supposed to do now? my life is fallin apart.

Ok, I'm back, Pumpkin now gages until throws up and wastes the medicine. He won't eat peanut butter, nor butter, nor can cat food, nor premuim tuna... I'm giving him a break because he choked so hard to throw it up his has a sore throat now. lol
I'm at my wits end. He needs the L-Lysine everyday and what about hairball medicine... Persians are a lot of work. Can anyone help me?
