My mother died and my father remarried way too soon (less than 1 1/2 years later). My two sisters and I expressed our unhappiness with the situation but were told that they didn't really care and were going to do it anyways. I decided to let it be because my father was happy - until I saw the evil side of her. She is extremely selfish and makes everything about herself! She doesn't allow us to talk about our mother and gets really jealous if my father hangs out with his daughters. How do I prove to my dad that she's no good and she doesn't even care about us?

I am torn between two situations...
My husband and I found a wonderful litle townhome, and we have already figured out that payments and everything, and they will be about 1000 per month!
OR---we can downsize our apartment now which is 1000 per month and get a tiny one bedroom for like 850 per month!
The problem is- we dont have TOO much money!
I going to be getting a part time job soon though.....so, that might help a little bit!

I'm 13 and my boyfriend is 15. I've never actually had a conversation with his parents or sister before. but its like i can just tell that they dont like me. They say that ive "changed" him. Because i wont let him drink and get drunk at his friends parties when im not there and i have no clue what he's doing... I am an independent. I often wonder where people get there information regarding political issues, candidates, foreign policy, etc. Many people on Y!A's seem to feel very passionate about one candidate, issue, policy, etc. or completely against another. Many people state that our President lied about many things, how do they know? Were they there in Iraq, were they there working in the field for the CIA? Were they in the Pentagon? Are you aware that many things regarding national security will never be revealed, even if it could prove that someone did not lie? Please don't say you get your information from the "media" (CNN, FOX, NY Times) because if you actually stated this, then nothing you say is credible. It is a proven fact that the media is biased and lies repeatedly to promote their own agenda. It is very interesting that when these questions are brought up, those people who feel they know everything, have nothing to say that is worth listening too. Where do you get your info?

My husband and I are discussing moving roughly half way across the country (NC to TX or NC to Tampa). We are a young couple without much stuff yet--a bedroom and a kitchen. Then just a couch, love seat, and futon.
Between closing costs, loan fees until your old house sells, when you put security and rent on a month to month apartment, and the amount you spent before the paychecks (or company reimbursement for moving costs) comes in--how many thousands have you gone through?
Someone else asked this question--the answer was sell everything you own. That is not an option. We've worked hard to get nice items, and I'm not throwing everything away just to move somewhere and buy it all again. Thats dumb.
How much do you think it would cost for a couple to move across country? If you are a young couple who moved recently--how far did you move and when did you move? Thanks!

If i put it in the corner or near the wall. How is it going to suck in any air. the air is sucked in from the back. if its facing the wall or a corner. it wont get all that air in front of it (basically the whole room)

I have recently taken delivery of a 20X microscope objective that I will be using to expand my reference beam for holography. At some point in the future (when budget allows), I will be incorporating said objective into a spatial filter. In determining pinhole size necessary, I will need to know the focal length of my objective.
Specs I know so far:
532nm
1.5mm beam
20X microscope objective
How do I determine the focal length of the lens in question? It is not marked with anything except 20/0.40...

My boyfriend was watching our 6 month old, while I was a sleeping and I got woken up to a bad cry and I ran out of my room and my boyfriend said she fell out off the couch and he's not sure if she bang her head on the coffee table on the way down.
She's looks and seems to be acting fine besides the red mark on her head,no bump or bruise.My couch is about 21/2 feet off the ground and the coffee table is about the same distance from the couch.
I'm just worried and I was just wondering,do you think she's fine?Do you think she hit her head off the table?Do you think this could cause any problems?
*I just want opinions and answers,please don't criticize,I've already feel so bad for her I cried and already yelled at my boyfriend all day for this*

Last night the cat brought in a baby mouse about 2 inches long. It was still alive and moving but it was so little we didnt think it would survive. So my mother put it outside on the ground to see if its mom would get it. In the next morning my mom went to see if it had left or had died but it was still alive and moves around a bit. So we brough it inside and put in into a box with a paper towel and grass and a small old beany baby. We also gave it a lil bit of warm milk in an eyedrop. We didnt think it would live the day but i got home and its still alive. I know it probably wont live but its eyes just opened and its been drinking milk and walking around abit more. What should I do to help keep it alive for as long as it can stay alive? I have a heating pad but should i put it in there under the paper towel or is he ised to the cold? What do tiny baby mice eat? What should I do I know it wil most likly die but it hasnt yet so anything you know would help.

I noticed that the north americans can distinguish the pronunciation of these two words 'bad' and 'bed' even if they are uttered alone. I know english well, as a second language, for many years ( I am Brazilian), but this information surprised me, because I always thought that in american english the pronounce were exactly the same. Is is true? If you americans hear one of these two words separated, could you distinguish them? Thanks
