I'm 13 and my boyfriend is 15. I've never actually had a conversation with his parents or sister before. but its like i can just tell that they dont like me. They say that ive "changed" him. Because i wont let him drink and get drunk at his friends parties when im not there and i have no clue what he's doing... We've been dating for two months and we really like eachother and i dont want to break up with him just for that. what should i do? ive asked him if he thinks ive changed him and he said no. but i dont know.....Please Help?

Your young and that just it... Your helping him be a better person, and he's not the same because you helping him to change for the better... Everything is not the same to them because he's not drinking and acting like a foul like he used to... That's all. Good Luck, and who cares what they think!!!

What's wrong with you not wanting your boyfriend to get drunk and make a fool of himself?! You'd think his parents/family members would appreciate that you've actually had a GOOD influence on him instead of a bad one.
If you don't feel as though you've changed your boyfriend for the worse, then maybe you should speak to them about it. Say to them that you don't feel like he's changed, and neither has he, because you don't run his life and tell him what to do, you're just helping him be a better person. (And you really are!) They actually probably act the way they do because they've never spoken to you, and assume that you don't like them so they've built up this wall. It's ridiculous, but I've seen some parents do that to their childs' significant other. Maybe after they've talked to you, they'll see what a good person you are and the GOOD effects you've had on their son.

Well, the changes you describe are for the good so I doubt that his family and friends dislike you for that, but maybe there is something else. Ask your boyfriend straight out or go to the main source and maybe you'll realize it is only on your head.
If you are both happy I don't see why you should brake up, but I do think that you are a little young to be in a relationship, maybe that is the problem. However, all I can do is guess so talk to your boyfriend and find out for sure.

That sucks My mom doesn't like my wife. Does she have a reason? Maybe. Is it a good reason? Hell no. I'm not going to let it bother me, well, it does bother me, but the way I see it, it's her (my mom's) loss.
I feel a little bit guilty when I visit my wife's family, and they just think I'm the greatest person in the world, and that I can do no wrong. Then we visit my family, and, my mom for some stupid ridiculous reason chooses not to have any kind of relationship with my wife.
Your likely going to experience this even later in life... might as well get used to it now. Sucks, I know.

Ummm you are only 13 who cares what they think? You are going to change a million times before it matters. Plus odds are by the time you become an adult you wont even remember this dude. Who's parents knowingly get mad when their 15yr old son STOPS drinking? What was dude doing drinking in the first place?

wait, let me get this straight.... your boyfriend's parents don't like you because their 15 year old son has changed since dating you- since he no longer gets drunk? I would say that is a change for the better.
My suggestion is don't worry about what his parents think of you- especially if they don't care that their underage child is out drinking.

it doesn't matter how old you are there people that will like you and people that won't , its a sad fact of life but it happens! Don't worry about them, if he is happy with you it won't matter anyway! When you are at his house just be nice and sweet and avoid conflict.....and otherwise just don't worry about it, if you did nothing to cause it then you don't need to try and fix it..... they will either come to like you in time if yall stay together that long or you two will go your seperate ways one day and it will no longer be any concern..... So with this said.... just go on with your life and don't let it bother you!

They are just jealous because your boyfriend is listening to you. He's 15 he shouldn't be getting drunk anyways so your obviously the only good influence in his life. If his friends don't like you because of that - then it is their problem. Your boyfriend is perfectly capable of making decisions on his own so you are not making him do anything that he doesn't want to do. His friends need to know that you don't have control over him. He has control over himself. I wouldn't let it bother you - not everyone in life is going to like you.

sounds to me that ur tryin to make sure he doesn't do something he'll regret and u can't help , besides he shouldn't be drinking at his age. as for the family not likin u, my in-laws didn't like me 13 yrs ago and probably still don't bc we're not around them anymore. i did change him bc hes no longer their doormat.
(he's the baby of the family) if u 2 love each other, the rest shouldn't matter. the folks should be glad u don't like him drinkin when ur not there
