adopted children in line for the throne?

if someone in line for the throne, like say Prince Andrew in England, adoptes a child would that child be eligable or be inline to gain access to the throne?

In the United Kingdom, no. The laws of succession state that one must be a legitimate, natural child in order to become the monarch. That means no adopted children and no illegitimate kids.

No adopted children can not be in line to the throne. Even if Prince Andrew adopted a child that child doesn't even have the use of a title. Unless the Queen personally grant him/her one which is most unlikely.

For the British throne, not a chance. One must be in the succession by blood, as a descendant of the Electress Sophia.

The Queen could theoretically make anyone a Prince (as she is the "font of honor" and can bestow titles at will), but she can't put someone into the line of succession. That hypothetical prince would never be able to succeed to the throne.
