I've been listening to Pundit Review Radio on WRKO on Sunday Nights, every other week for the last few months. At 9 pm they have a segment called "someone you should know" and it's about a heroic soldier or marine. And it's always the same thing - - our soldiers are taking heavy fire from multiple points in a building, and our guys find a way into the building and take out the snipers....

......Last time we won a war, the rules of engagement were, if you're taking heavy fire from inside a building, especially if it's from multiple locations in the building, you take out the building.

THIS is my problem with the war. We're not FIGHTING it like a war. We're fighting it with one hand tied behind our back.

I deeply respect the troops for fighting on these terms - but I take serious objection to our leaders' asking them to do so.

Does anyone know any newspapers or magazines that accept comics from outsiders? I have quite a few comics drawn, but I don't know what to do with them. Also, are comics all drawn by hand and then scanned into a computer?

Whether in a relationship or not, whether a good guy or a married guy, will a guy always go for the girls who wear hardly anything, or the girls that hand sex to them on a plate? What I'm trying to say it, do men have control over their sexual urges? ( guys, give me your honest opinion!)

I used to manage to kill every plant I owned. I love plants! Finally learned to only keep those that are semi-easy to care for. One day hubby and I will get out of the apartment and into a home of our own - and I can't wait to try my hand at outdoor gardening.

If you've received a violation (as most of us have), did you email Y!A and inquire as to what the violation was? I actually read the entire TOS this past weekend and can't find why I was in violation of their terms. It's not the fact that I got a VN, it's the fact that it is, as most VN's are, ridiculous.

If you mailed them, did you get a response? What was the outcome? I emailed them and I haven't gotten a response nor do I expect to.

While ordering appetizers i briefly glanced at the amazing cleavage our waitress proudly displayed with her V cut shirt. She couldn't tell me fast enough " excuse me, but my eyes are up here". So later when the appetizer arrived and we were ordering entree's she was staring at my thinning hair instead of my eyes while I was talking to her. I said "excuse me, but my eyes are down here". She huffed at me and stormed away without taking our order. The manager came to the table and 'politely' informed me that I was not to harrass his waitresses. Well, we stayed at that table for what seems like forever, ordering more drinks, bread, this that, more napkins, more silverware, and anything else we could think of. For her tip I wrote on a napkin "No tip for you B**CH".

Would YOU have tipped her?

Hi,

I badly sprained my ankle about a year ago playing football. Its still a lot more swollen than the other ankle and aches occassionally (particularly after exercise).

Am looking to get back into football this winter, but am worried about aggravating it, any advice?....has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Also, anyone know of any astro footie boots with good ankle support to minimise the chance of this happening again?

My parents seperated about a year ago and i never understood why. They never seemed unhappy to me. But one day I was with my mom and I heard her on her phone talking to someone saying how much she loved him and that he was the reason she left her husband. I was devastated. Should I confront her and should I ever tell me dad?

I recently bought a Dell PC and when I got it, it was dead. No amount of pressing or holding the on button at the front would switch it on.
So I log onto Dell and speak to an adviser via their rather good technical chat facility. I then receive a call from the tech support adviser who I assume was calling from India by her accent.
Anyway to cut a long story short she asked me to open up the PC unit with a screwdriver and talked me through checking inside. I have no PC hardware skills so most of what she advised me to do went over my head. In the end I put it back together and an engineer is coming to look at it tomorrow.
Was this risky?. It seems odd for someone at Dell to ask a novice to open up a PC. I had no idea what I was doing and could have caused all sorts of damage. Also if the power lead was still connected (she asked me to plug it in while the case was open to check if it was working) could I have been electrocuted?

I'm concerned and wondered what others thought.

I have great respect for the guy, and while I don't agree with all his conclusions and approaches, I think he does a lot of good. That said, a number of folks on here have commented that he is perhaps a bit harsh on the more "harmless" beliefs out there. Do you agree?

There is no such thing as employer-employee loyalty any more. I remember the days when you started a good job with a good employer, worked your way up and stayed there pretty happy for a long time, both of you enjoying the benefits of the relationship. My record is 13 years back in NJ. How about you?

Yes, I am aware he is running now. But he is obviously inexperienced.

I must admit, the man is promising. He is smart and he has fresh ideas, but putting him office right now just isn't realistic.

I wouldn't vote for him (I most likely won't be voting for any Democrats anytime soon unless Joe Lieberman runs) but he (speaking as a Conservative) is more refreshing then Edwards or Clinton or the others.

Or is a lack of experience a good thing? Look at what he had to say below:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20346455/

'Democrat Barack Obama on Sunday tried to parlay his relative lack of national experience into a positive attribute, chiding his rivals for adhering to "conventional thinking" that led the country to war and that has divided the country.'

What do you think? Would he stand a better chance and be more qualified to run this nation in another ten years?
