Giuliani's hawkish attitude towards the Israli-Palestinian conflict and also regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions will only fuel the flames of anti-Americanism in the Middle East. It seems as though he is somewhat relishing the idea of creating an environment which would breed MORE, not less, terrorists so he'll have a useful excuse to implement a potential militarist agenda if he managed to win the presidency.

George Bush gave lip service to the idea of a Palestinian state, but he did nothing else for the first six years of his administration. His failure to bring the Palestinians and Israelis back to the negotiating table has only led to more terrorism and conflict. It's also alienated our Arab allies in the region.

if Giuliani is elected and gives an explicit "no" to a Palestinian state, all hell will break loose in the Middle East, and we will have absolutely no allies there other than Israel. At least 30% of our oil supply will be cut immediately by OPEC, and we will be plunged into a deep economic recession followed by a depression once the newly motivated terrorists begin striking targets in the US.

Other than these practical considerations, from an ideological perspective, it's absurd to say that a full-fledged government cannot or should not be formed in this region. If Giuliani ever read the Declaration of Independence he'd see that the concept that Palestinians cannot govern themselves is simply un-American and antithetical to the founders' beliefs.

The Six Day conflict became in 1967, you're thinking of the 1948 conflict. And confident, the favored version is greater propaganda than certainty. at a similar time as the Arab governments engaged interior the worst varieties of threats and sabre damn, they actually gave the Palestinians little or no by skill of way of financial and armed forces help, and the thought Arab armies poured into Palestine tochronic Israel into the sea is organic unadulterated BS. The Israelis did actually have have the greater advantageous forces in 1948 and the end results of the conflict became in no way quite uncertain, it became Israel that captured the lion's share of Palestine, not the Palestinians.

It will not result in less terrorists. I believe the Right the religious right desperately wants to see a war in the ME. I think they want it because its some kind of biblical prophecy fulfillment activity. I cannot figure another reason why the proselytizing right supports a country that you cant preach in. Whose population is never going to convert to Christianity.

edit:
when 70+% of actual Israeli citizens want an independent Palestinian state and want peace why is it the minority governs the actions of a majority.

I think his point is that until the current terrorist agenda of Hamas and others in the region is stopped there should be no push to created a Palestinian state. On that I do agree, all dealing with the terrorists and giving up ground to them has done is make them more adamant in their anti-Israel and anti-west attitudes and moves. When they again decide they really want peace I think Giuliani will deal with them on helping to create a Palestinian state. Israel lately has proven lately how dealing with the terrorist has embolden the terrorists and made them go for more land, more killings and more recruits. Thus I see that this will not create more.

If both Arabs and Israelis really wanted peace, they would have lived together in one state where there is equality and justice. Any form of injustice leads to more tragedies, including terrorism.

That Giuliani is a sadist.

I cannot see how an ant-Palestinian stance could help curb terrorism. Being ant- anything tends to spur a backlash.

Hopefully, we won't have the opportunity to see that in action. On foreign policy, he is truly "Bush on steroids." So that means play like you're tough and then more terrorism.

Hatred breeds more hatred. We need a president with foreign policy ( ex-NYC Mayor?) and can use diplomacy to this countries' benefit.
