what are some good paint and carpet colors for a teen bedroom...preferably in the cool color scheme...something relaxing (im redoing my bedroom and i an having major trouble deciding what carpet color to pick-i want a color- not beige or something that goes with any wall color)

I can hit a pretty mean softball I hit around 265-300ft on a good swing or hit a lot behind the runners to RF. My last 2 games I can't hit the ball hard at all, I know it's not the bat cause my buddies still hit it good, I know it's not the basics cause I'm still in the same routine, So I was wonder what is going on??? When I hit the ball the ball seems dead I still get base hits but they are not hard at all, can someone please help me out on this? Thanks

I just got a job as an assistant manager at a retail drug store. I'm on my feet all day running from place to and hauling boxes off of the shelves. Since I only live 1.5 miles away I decided to ride my bike or walk to work instead of driving. I've had this job for 5 weeks and because of policies and the hassle to prevent theft, to avoid it I always go to the local fast food restaurants for lunch. The odd thing is I've lost 10 pounds since I started this job and my pants are starting to feel loose. I guess me being on my feet all day and riding my bike to work cancels out all the fast food calories I consume. Since weight isn't a problem will I still develope cholestrol, blood pressure etc. problems when I'm older because of all this fast food I consume?

I very much like the Harry Potter series except for two main aspects of the books:
1) J.K. Rowling has given way too much credit to Harry. In fact, hes probably the biggest jerk Ive ever encountered in fiction. I was reading Deathly Hallows and theres a certain incident where Ron appears after abandoning Harry and subsequently saves Harry's life. For all that, Harry appraises (as if hes qualified to appraise anybody) Ron: "You've sort of made up for it tonight. Getting the *spoiler*. Finishing off the *spoiler*. Saving my life."

2) Why in every book does Rowling have to introduce a new sort of "relic" that the books central plot revolves around? Clearly that reveals the fallibility of the overall plot.

At least if ppl dont entirely agree with the second objection, the first one should be quite evident given the plethora of damning evidence ever since the fifth book.

I have always been fat ever since i was young. I have always been the tallest, and biggest out of them all, even though they are shorter than me. I always wanted to be small like them and short like them.It seem like they fit into anything, and I don't. I guess this is the reason why I always get hurt from people words.

Do Christians discount the Old Testament?

It seems that many Christians on here are quoting from the Old Testamnet, but many others, when someone mentions violence in the Old T., say something like ' But In the NEW Testament its different..."

I thought they were both the Bible, and Christians live by the Bible, so why not all of it?

Hey, everybody. As I said before, that I'll be getting a pomeranian puppy somewhat in August, my dad's friend's dog will be having puppies pretty soon. Today, at work, my dad gave my mom and I a message that the pregnant dog is licking her stomach lately. I think that this is a sign that she's going to have her puppies real soon, but I'm not 100% sure about this. I don't know if this could be a different reason, but this is what I predict could be the reason. Does anyone else out there have different ideas or suggestions? Thanks! :)
