I can hit a pretty mean softball I hit around 265-300ft on a good swing or hit a lot behind the runners to RF. My last 2 games I can't hit the ball hard at all, I know it's not the bat cause my buddies still hit it good, I know it's not the basics cause I'm still in the same routine, So I was wonder what is going on??? When I hit the ball the ball seems dead I still get base hits but they are not hard at all, can someone please help me out on this? Thanks

sounds like you shouldnt really worry about it as long as you keep hitting it. Just keep your swing and sometimes you will hit the ball hard and sometimes you wont, even the pros miss. Just keep your swing and dont think about it to much!

It sounds like a good old fashion "slump" to me. I would bet it has something to do with the mechanics of your swing. A little time in the batting cage might help, and you really need someone there with you that knows your swing. Every player at every level of baseball goes through this kind of thing from time to time and you have to battle your way out of it.

I hit alot like you,and When I try to hit to RF,I start aiming and I don't hit it as hard.When hitting to RF just wait,wait,wait and swing hard and level,the ball will tail towards the line.For line drives I like a deeper pitch,for power I like the short pitch

It sounds like something is messing with your mechanics a little. A trip to the batting cages might be beneficial.

Maybe your just in a slump.... re-check your fundamentals and figure out how you are batting now and how it is different than what it was before...
