Hey, everybody. As I said before, that I'll be getting a pomeranian puppy somewhat in August, my dad's friend's dog will be having puppies pretty soon. Today, at work, my dad gave my mom and I a message that the pregnant dog is licking her stomach lately. I think that this is a sign that she's going to have her puppies real soon, but I'm not 100% sure about this. I don't know if this could be a different reason, but this is what I predict could be the reason. Does anyone else out there have different ideas or suggestions? Thanks! :)

The breeder should know when the pups are due. Licking the stomach doesn't mean the pups are coming now. If the pups have not been born, then they should not be ready to be sold/given away until at least September, not August. They should be at least 8 weeks old to leave their mom. Hopefully the breeder knows all the basics about dogs and puppies, labor, pregnancies, etc.

Dogs licking their stomachs doesn't have anything to do with the due date. Like people the stretching of the skin itches. They will lick the place puppies come from when it's time. Have fun with your puppy.

Licking her stomach has nothing to do with giving birth. My dog had puppies and the whole licking thing is a myth I'm sure it varies from dog to dog just like ppl.
