The question struck me recently, If you float an ice cube in a glas and it melts, the water level is the same.
Earth's water supply is only 1.6% Ice and Most of Earth's Ice is currently under Sea Level.
So if all the ice on Earth melted...how much would Ocean levels Actually rise?
It takes half a Million Cubic kilometers of water added to the ocean to raise it 1 meter, not accounting for any lowering due to ice no longer floating in it, So I'm thinking Gore predictions of it rising 100 meters is ridiculous.
So what would the real Net impact be?

Here's my question:

Would you give up using your favourite beauty products (you've been using them for years) if you would find out they are tested on animals?

Would you be willing to pay more/double for a product that's not tested on animals?

Why do black men who are in interracial relationship say horrible & mean stereotypes about black women??
I'm a black woman who is none of those things. I wish people would stop believe all the negative stereotypes about us. Those stereotypes are really mean and very hurtful.. Most black women don't really care what you date.

my cousin is very shy and quiet around strangers. she hates going out unless she absolutely has to. for example, she always turns down my invitation to go to the mall, store, park, etc. we are really close and i asked her why shes so introverted and she says its due to her appearance. She has a somewhat big red birthmark on the side of her face which she is very self conscious about , although she is pretty other wise. She is shy to the point where she refuses to answer the phone and she will go to extreme lengths to avoid being the center of attention ( ex. skipping school to avoid a speech). Her dad tries to force her to go out, for example forcing her to volunteer at a summer camp, but shes mortified about going. I'm worried about her, how can i help her? and getting professional help is out of the question since money is a problem, thanks in advance.

My husband is the head coach of my sons youth hockey team. My son is the top line center and also the team captain. There's a boy on his team that has great skills but he lacks the confidence to do anything with it so my husband has been working with him at the rink for the last couple months(even though the season hasnt started yet). The boys father asked my husband if we had any of our sons old hockey equipment laying around and if he could borrow it for his son because they cant afford to buy him new. Now some of the other boys on the team know this and make fun of him, hence the lack of confidence. Well, the other day when they were leaving the rink the boy was crying to his father that he wants new stuff like all the rest of the boys.My husband told me he'd like to take him(with parents permission) and buy him all new equipment(stick, skates...) and he'd even pay for his jersey for the upcoming season. He's just worried the parents might take offense to it. Would it offend you?

There are two kinds of pretending. There is the bad kind, as when a person falsely promises to be your friend. But there is also a good kind, where the pretense eventually turns into the real thing. For example, when you are not feeling particularly friendly, the best thing you can do, very often, is to act in a friendly manner. In a few minutes, you may freally be feeling friendlier.
Can deception - pretending something is true when it is not - sometimes have good results?

Democrats Aid Radical Islamists, Trial Lawyers

News item: "Democrats are trying to pull a provision from a homeland security bill that will protect the public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior that may lead to a terrorist attack..." This bill was proposed by Peter King, and it was in the aftermath of the flying imams, those six of them that got on an airplane in Minneapolis and started behaving in a manner similar to what was reported on the flights on 9/11. So some passengers and flight crew reported 'em, and the imams threatened to sue the airline and the passengers and all that. So they introduced this legislation that would protect the public from being sued for reporting suspicious behavior. But the government itself is telling us to do this. "Be vigilant out there! Keep an eye out! Keep a sharp eye out for suspicious behavior!" Now, the Democrats are trying to take this out. "This legislation moves to a House and Senate conference committee this afternoon and will implement final recommendations from the 9/11 Commission, and Peter King said, 'Democrats are trying to find any technical excuse to keep immunity out of the language of the bill to protect citizens who, in good faith, report suspicious activity to the cops or law enforcement. It's a slap in the face of good citizens who do their patriotic duty and come forward and it caves in to radical Islamists.'" It does! What in the world is the benefit to the Democrats of this? The trial lawyers! All right. "How dare you try to limit lawsuits?" is the answer to the question, ladies and gentlemen. The trial lawyers. This is a potential goldmine out there waiting to be raked in. I'm glad you asked.

We am looking for some place nice in Texas or one of the bordering states to go on our honeymoon, besides Mexico..

Do you know of any good locations that would be nice for a honeymoon?

We want to be around water.. It doesnt matter if it is beach or lake.. We jsut want some place that is really nice and relaxing where we can share our time together, and have fun.

We dont want to travel to far away since we will have kids staying at home with the grandparents. So we want to be able to return incase of an emergency fairly quickly..
