Only if you have an allergy to nuts or suffer from obesity or high cholesterol. All things in moderation--to much of anything can be bad for you after awhile.

It is very high in fat--unless you get the low fat type.

It depends on the type of bread, peanut butter, if you are active, and the time that you eat the sandwich.

The sandwich could be classified as 'healthy' weight-loss wise if you use light or low calorie bread with reduced calorie Peanut butter.

It could also be classified as 'healthy' protein wise if you use whole grain bread with really any kind of peanut butter, preferably without all the processed crap in it, maybe an organic or nautral peanut butter.

A Peanut Butter sandwich would be best eaten before or after a workout because the protein keeps you full throughout thw workout and gives you energy, or can replace used energy after a workout.

Another thing that you should watch is portion size, make sure theres not more than 2 tablespoons (the average serving size) or peanut butter on your sandwich.

Hope that helps!

Everything is bad for you in excess.
Peanuts have natural levels of carcinogens like many other foods. Therefore those that are very worried about carcinogens in pesticides should realise that there are naturally occuring carcinogens even in organic foods! So if you want to take a ludicrous and extreme view, eating your peanut butter and jelly sandwich is like playing Russian Roulette with one bullet in a 357 Magnum revolver that holds a maximum of six. Isn't Life exciting, Ha! Ha!

Not if you make them with whole grain bread and leave out the butter and jelly or jam. Two slices of whole grain bread and two tablespoons (32) grams of peanut butter will provide about 400 calories with fiber and generally good protein.

i think if you eat in moderation it is pretty good for you. penut butter is very high in protein. here is a healther way 2 eat it.

1.take one piece of bread(try a whole grain bread thats filled with lots of nutrients.)
2. Spread a low fat penut butter on one side of the bread
3. fold one side of the bread so it makes a mini sandwich!
top this off with some carrots and a glass of low fat milk and your good to go!
