If anything it should be the other way around. They didnt come to your country and kidnap you, rape you, take your culture, and lynch you and opress you for hundreds of years.

The inhumane individuals who did these horrific things to others, based on their skin color, are dead and gone. There were many poor white Europeans who were indentured servants and suffered the same torture that you just mentioned. Sadly enough, enslaving and abusing people based on their race, religion or social status has existed for a few thousand years. In fact, all color of people have at one time or another suffered these persecutions. It is not a black and white issue. It is an issue of greed and dominance by certain individuals within any race or group. I don't believe that "White people are afraid of "black people", as you put it .In fact, whoever told you that dosen't realize that the same God that created people, created rainbows. Most of us appreciate diversity because we know that we all came from Noah.

White people are so afraid of CERTAIN black people. The ones that wear their pants down to their ankles walk like they own the place. They are the ones that we fear. They are the ones that will kill you without a second thought. One more thing, this is a different generation. I didn't go anywhere and kidnap anyone. It is time for people to learn from the past and not dwell.

I think that's actually why a lot of white people are "afraid of" black people... they are aware of the past and are afraid of some sort of backlash or uproar on upperclass white collar society. The U.S. has always been a very controlled heirarchy and I think that as equal opportunity grows stronger and stronger many white people begin to fear minorities as they see them as competition and as potential for them to lose their status. Our country is unfortunately set up so that one person cannot gain unless another loses.

Considering my family did not come to this country until the early 1900's I and my family did none of those things. And I am not afraid of black people or any other race. It is the individual person that should be considered. Their color, race, creed mean nothing. Stop being so ignorant !

Okay I am not scared of black people, but my people land was taken our women where raped, our language is all but lost to us. We where forced to be slaves on our own land. So You are not the only people who have lost everything. So before you make a generalization like that read your history books. And we don't even have a Indian history month.

Not all white people are afraid of black people. Some blacks are afraid of whites. And the blacks aren't the only ones who have suffered for many years.

This happened when people didn't know any better. Yeah it was bad, but it was a long time ago. Time's changed.

Of course not all white people fear black people, but those that do have a number of reasons - many of them foolish. For many reasons, blacks have an lower average income and are more likely to live in urban areas. Many rural or suburban whites fear people from the cities, thinking they are harder or more dangerous. Lower income earners are significantly more likely to be convicted of crimes, and many people fear crime, particularly from those who don't look or sound like oneself. Although much of the wrong done to blacks by whites was done by people who are long dead, many white people are strongly aware of those wrongs, and some of them fear retribution from blacks who feel wronged as a class, by a class. I think that most of these rationales are not sufficient to justify fear, but the economic level/criminal activity connection is harder to explain away than the others, it seems to me. This is exactly the same in considering lower income whites, but many whites see a black face and assume a slew of things - urban, poor, angry and criminal - and suspect nothing of socioeconomically identical whites.

i don't think that most of the caucasiun population is scared of the african americans....it's the media's and government's control issues.....

they control the people's actions by having the media show stories of how some black guy killed him or raped her as a scare tactic....but those are just the mindless, ignorant white people that hate black people...they're willing to believe anything....
